I have written a review that focuses on the ecological design of the cottages, the setting, and the 5-star restaurant. It includes info on dive packages and PADI training, community-based stewardship of the reef, and the friendliness of the staff. I am a freelance journalist--I think the review has literary merit worth reading. There is no bias, just child-like appreciation....

On a spur of the moment trip to beautiful Kosrae I had the good fortune to stay at in sync with its surroundings KVR. The peaceful location, charming huts and grounds, helpful staff, and good food in the on site restaurant met all my hopes and expectations. For the traveler wanting an authentic and uncomplicated experience, visit Kosrae and KVR!

Last minute choice, didn't know what to expect, however, soon as I walked in I felt right at home, accommodation at KVR is just great, don't expect the Hilton, it is as it is, an Eco traditional Kosraean Village and the experience is just priceless. Great restaurant and you must try the famous homemade bread. Good value overall looking forward...

I have been there in August 2010. Great staff and a very nice place to stay on Kosrae. Service from Airport pickup, willingness to help, hotel service, and check-out procedure was great. The Hospitality of the people is outstanding. Thanks to Katrina and Bruce. Room was spacious and clean - just 10ft from the ocean! The hotel setup is unique...

There are a small number of bungalows (rooms) available, which makes your stay intimate (you get to know the other guests and staff easily) and comfortable. All the bungalows are on the beach and even though they are relatively near one another, you always feel a real sense of privacy. I found that the waves lulled me to sleep in...

We visited Kosrae as a family of 4 with 2 young children as part of an island hopper experience to Micronesia. Kosrae was our first stop. I was initially taken aback by how undeveloped and run down it was, but not the kind of poverty you experience in some asian and indian areas. It is almost as though the weather...

Lovely place to stay and run by very nice friendly couple. Went on a couple of trips organised by the hotel and they were very good too. Was especially pleased to find a history of Kosrae in my cottage and the fridge stocked with fresh fruit. What a nice surprise!

As sson as we arrrived the service was great, everyone was helpful and they wouldn't let me pack my own gear. This place is amazing, and you can hear the surf from anywhere in the resort. The rooms/cabins are of the same designe the natives used to live in, and are situated to catch the breeze from the ocean, which...
