Booked this place as a stop over on way to Dunedin. Needed a clean cheap but comfortable room for 2 adults and one child. We were well received when we arrived (son delighted with free wi-fi) and then had a very comfortable stay for the night. Could not complain at all and will use again.

Had a clean and quite big room. No five stars because back doors Open over Night. So it made an unsafe Impression to us. But for One Night it's a quite good Place to stay in timaru.... Timaru itself is a little pretty town on the Route to christchurch

The price is comparable to far superior accommodation in Timaru. Stained carpet, pilled and slightly grubby looking throw on the bed, the chairs are peeling leather-look chairs and are so tatty they should have been taken from the room, the heater is broken and looks as though it has nearly set the wall on fire, wall lights have been replaced...

Location handy to the bustling Timaru CBD! We had a special group deal and the owner was very supportive of our group. My room was clean and tidy, bed medium firm and comfortable. I noted the carpet was a bit tired and although bathroom appeared recently refurbished, the shower head was split/broken and sprayed water everywhere, (some did make it...

The staff were nice and helpful and were keen to point out that they have just taken over and in the process of updating and renovating the hotel. Our room was over looking the road / car park and was incredibly noisy as the road was close by and all night you could hear boy racers and heavy trucks going...

I was here 6 months ago but this time there are new managers and they are making a huge difference. I'm a poor sleeper so need a quiet room, and they changed as soon as I requested this and it was soooo quiet! Bliss. Bed was comfy and shower was simply one of the best I have ever had -...

The Benvenue.....Lets be clear, the staff were really friendly and the rooms were clean and tidy. However it really needs to have a major reno, the rooms are really tired and out of date, I know this is not cheap but Timaru is screaming out for a decent Hotel. Breakfast was okay and the service again was really friendly

Accidently left 2 jackets in my room when we checked out. Rung them as soon as we got home and unloaded but was told they were not in the room or in the house keeping book, but he would ask the next day. I rung back and was told they were not there and there was nothing he could do...

Ok place to stay overnight as far as room goes but surely when experiencing a polar blast in July you shouldn't have to put on your puffer jacket when you step out of your room into the zero temp unheated corridor.

Room was older and in need of upgrading but clean and tidy. Staff somewhat distant. Breakfast was a disappointment as half was cold. Asked if this could be fixed but same food returned exactly the same.
