Suzy and Alan have built a very beautiful house, in a quiet area although at walking distance from town. Luxury rooms and guest lounge and gorgeous breakfast. We have been well informed of where to go in town as well as were to hike in Tangariro National Park. The place to be !

Extremely accomodating and lovely hosts. Very warm, clean and only a few minutes walk from town so perfect location. Delicious breakfast including a cooked option and the option of an outdoor spa after a skiing was an added bonus! Would definitely come back and recommend to others!

Comfortable, clean room in a modern property within easy walking distance of the amenities. Large sitting room for guest's use. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, with local knowledge that they were more than willing to share. They also made an excellent breakfast.

Alan and Susy were great hosts, interested in their guests. They prepared a great breakfast (also very early in the morning on the day we walked the Tangariro Crossing), and a tasteful lunch package. After the walk we enjoyed a glass of wine, chatting with Alan and Susy. A relaxing place to stay! Free Wifi, little fridge in the room.... More

Hosts are a lovely couple keen to promote the area to visitors and full of useful information. Even gave us a discount voucher for a local restaurant - not a commercial... More

Alan and Susie have a hospitality and travel background so have taken the time to find out about and try the local attractions and things to do. They gave great recommendations for walks and eating out. Alan and Susie are professional in their approach... More

Susie and Alan were perfect hosts for our 4 night stay. We had only planned 2 nights but ended up staying longer so we could do the Tongariro crossing. The reason we loved Manuka Lodge so much is due to the great hospitality, lovely room, fantastic breakfast and the hot tub. It's a great place to kick back and relax... More
