Cancelled our accomodation in Çanakkale drove and hour or so down the coast found this truly wonderful place. So much history amazing cultural experience and fantastic accomodation. Cobble alleys and temples as well as amphitheaters. Do yourself a favour! Go to Assos! 😉
We stayed at this nice hotel for 3 days in July and it was great. Assos is a very small northern Aegean former port village. Getting to the hotel is a bit of a thrill ride. You drive through a very steep mountain side stony...More
Very well run hotel, staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms clean and great aircon. Huge selection at breakfast. Lovely loungers and umbrellas beside the Agean. Water so clean and refreshing. Would stay there again.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful little village. The setting is idyllic, with lots and lots of cats (which the lovely people at the hotel look after and feed) to make life complete. Sitting out on the deck with a drink, looking across at the islands...More

Hi - I am not sure which airport you mean. We hired a car and drove from Istanbul - it involved a car ferry and about 5 hours of driving (I think) but was well worth it to have our own car as it made visiting the temple and greek ruins easy. The ferry ticket booking was very complicated however so check the threads on trip advisor for advice about that if you plan something similar. May be better to fly to Bodrum and travel up the coast - hiring a car there is very easy and low stress.
