We weren't sure what to expect from the information we had but this is a great little oasis away from the tourists, noise and bustle of the town of Sapa. Topas feels like it's in the clouds with mountains all around. The executive bungalow we had was very comfortable, again with great views, especially the sunrise. The meals in the... More

My wife and I had a great time and enjoyed the quietness, the great views, friendly staff and wonderful food. We were so glad that we got our of the noise and crowds of Sapa and stayed here. The access road from Sapa however was in very bad shape and worse than many logging roads that I have traveled. The... More

We had booked our package tour through Voyages Jules Verne in the UK as part of our 21 year anniversary celebrations. And, as is usual for us we read the less than positive Trip Advisor reviews first to see what the "worst" experience was and when written (and what we may expect). It was obvious the Ecolodge had some issues... More

Everything about this lodge is amazing : the fact that it helps the community, that it is away from city centre although still offers a bus for easy access, the views are stunning, even the fact that there is no TV in the rooms - it is so refreshing, brings you closer to nature and allows you to fully disconnect... While many places in Vietnam do not always excell in style, this resort is a welcome exception. The complex is beautifully integrated in the landscape and is oasis of peace. The lodges themselves are quite simple but functional. The lodge works mainly with the local minorities who are extremely friendly and willing to learn. The food served at the restaurant... More

We planned our trip to Vietnam and Cambodia earlier this year and reviewed many places from home. We came across Topas Ecolodge and immediately started to plan our trip to the north of Vietnam around this location because we liked it so much. A few month later we arrived at the Ecolodge in reality and it was just perfect. We... More

The views were outstanding! It was also great to find out how the lodge helps the local communities. We really enjoyed our walking tour to the riverside lodge with our Topas guide Tien who was excellent. Food was good, cocktails lovely and rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and created a calm and relaxed atmosphere. Suggested... More

Dear CrazyAboutCountries, It is a nice review, nice to read as well. Veg options will soon be larger and our lights are not so strong around bar area which allows you to fully enjoy the starlit sky. This is a lovely lodge. The rooms are comfortable the views are outstanding. The guides for the activities were excellent. My only comment is that the food service could use improvement. Dishes come out erratically and there was limited vegetarian options that were interesting.

We stayed at Topas Ecolodge for two nights at the end of October 2016. The setting for the accommodation is stunning surrounded by mountains and valleys of rice paddy fields. We stayed here for one night only and wish we could have stayed longer. Our bungalow was simple but well appointed with everything we needed and the views from the balcony were breathtaking.
