Nice place if you want to be away from main town Sapa and the tourists. Excellent to get to know the local villages. Clean place but note it can get very cold in the winter months. Really lovely food cooked by Dat. English speaking friendly tour guides organised by Dat. Beautiful location and views. Lots of hiking. To book -...

We stayed for three days and two nights at Dat's place. Everything was well organised even the pick up after arriving by night bus from Hanoi and the transport back to Lao Cai to catch the train back to Hanoi. The three days trekking with our guide from the red zhao tribe were really nice and beautiful. We saw villages,...

If you want to stay in a comfortable place and experience village life, Heavenly Homestay is ideal. We took an overnight bus to Sapa and were picked up in the morning by a taxi arranged by our host Dat. Dat provided three meals a day, and a guide for us. San Mei, a young, red Dzao woman hiked with us through...

Dat was a wonderful host from the first email I sent with initial inquiries to the hug goodbye we got. His home and hospitality made us feel so welcome (it was my 24-year old son and myself). We went in December, so the night was chilly (and I'm from Chicago, so quite used to the cold), but of course the...

Dat is an exceptional host. Not to missed if you are visiting Vietnam and want to have a true experience of native people and land! Dat shows you the way of the local people. I highly recommend taking a trek from him as well. Very kind and friendly and great place to stay.

The homestay was our first destination in Vietnam and easily the highlight of our trip. Dat and his family were extremely helpful and friendly, definitely was not rude to us at all or anyone of the guests that were there. Trekking was great, he took us through many of the local villages and through their actual homes, answering any questions...

We visited Sapa in November so it was very cold - I recommend jackets and warm gear. We stayed at Heavenly Homestay after many emails to Dat (owner). Dat was always friendly over email however in person he was much less so. We had dramas with the transport he organised to pick us up from the train - the taxi...

My husband and I stayed at Heavenly Homestay for three days and two nights in October. We stayed in one of the new bungalows (with a huge bed and ensuite toilet & shower) that was recently competed next to his home. Don't expect your stay to be like older reviews; Dat's business has grown and this is more like a...

We had a very nice stay in this homestay. We booked a 2 day-1 night trekking by e-mail. We were picked up at Sapa town and had to drive around 40 minutes to get to the homestay. The guide was very kind and spoke good English. The first day we did 2 trekkings and had lunch at the homestay. At...
