The staff at the Regalia Villas are very friendly and the location is excellent - that is where the good news ends with this property. It was probably lovely 10 years ago, but now it feels very dirty and grimey. There were stains on the towels and bed linen. The bathroom and shower area feels very unhygienic. The bedroom has an extremely musky smell as well. The low-hanging lamps next to the bed have a sharp metal pointed bottom and is directly above the power points and light switches. I hit my head on it twice, the second time my head actually bled from it. I was naive in booking at this accommodation as all the recent reviews follow the same theme, and it was heavily discounted on booking.com. This is for a reason!

We are traveling with a 10month old baby. The hotel turns the air conditioning off every time they clean the room. We comeback to a mosquito infested room. They also tried to charge us $130 000rph for coffee stained towel that was left by the pool. The cat got on the day bed and tipped spilled coffee on the towel. Worst of all they didn’t supply us towels until we resolved the matter. Strange…. Nice looking place but perhaps not meant for children and cats.

My overall experience was amazing. It was my 40th birthday and I really enjoyed it here even during Bali's "silent day." From my pickup from the airport to my drop off to the airport was a great experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful and was always around when needed. I ordered room service just about everyday and they were always on time like clock work! My driver Dana was amazing as well. Look him up when you are in Canguu Bali!

Extremely rundown, nothing like the photos. The main pool was bright green and murky and unusable. The main areas are all dirty and rundown, also slippery and slimy in some areas, our kids couldn’t walk through those sections. It seemed as though the whole place had been closed for years and then reopened with little effort to restore everything. Villas (we were in 2) have nauseating stench of urine throughout. There was also constant building noise from next door which we weren’t warned of beforehand. - green main pool unusable - strong stench of urine throughout -safety issues- rock veneer fell off the wall as we brushed lightly passed, could have fallen on feet or our kids -building pieces missing all over, had already fallen off -no hand soap -stained towels with frayed sides -dirty grimy shower screens - dead bugs throughout the bathrooms - black dirt in the bath -stains all over floors especially in bathrooms and around toilet -holes and tears in mosquito netting over beds which mosquitos got through -mould on ceilings -grime in showers -loose decking all around the pool- potential safety hazard -mouldy cupboards in kitchenette, falling apart - a security camera with possible view straight into our shower area - shower doesn’t get hot, just warm - stained curtains - old dirty and unsafe scooters -unsafe very slippery stepping stones in shared area near pool -green scum around private pool -ants in rooms -paint peeling off of walls -smelly gardens -safe didn’t work -wifi hardly worked and netflix couldn’t connect at all

We booked Regali Villas for the perceived value of price reduction post-COVID but what we didn’t do was our due diligence. Which is what you should do if you are thinking about staying at Regali Villas. Just read the previous five reviews on this platform alone. First up, let me say that COVID impacted so many businesses globally. We get it and we understand, we were equally impacted. But the problem I have with Regali is that it needs desperate upgrading of the most basic of things – maintenance and repairs, fresh pool towels, even hand wash would be nice. In the Villia is a beautiful bath which looks out into the alfresco area which would be ideal to use but there’s no bath salts or bath wash or anything. The towels were well worn and old and we had to ask for them. Hot water for the shower was problematic, knobs on switches are missing, tiles in the pool are missing and the Villa needs a gerni water blaster. We had booked to stay here 10 nights but moved after stretch of four days. We gave it a read hot go, we really did, as the staff are/were lovely and deserve thanks plus the villas are in a great location in Canggu but my ask is of the owners who have reaped the profits of this place over the years, you need to reinvest in your asset. The villas simply need to be shut for repairs and given a new lease on life. We wish the owners well.

The villa was large spacious and well set out however the furniture was filthy with large stains over the day couch. The cushions looked dirty and greasy. We went to the markets to buy some cotton material to cover them up so we could sit on them. The towels were thin and had brown stains and colour to them. The sheets felt thin and very old. They need to get new day outside furniture and buy new linen. We were worried they weren’t checking pool chlorine regularly because there was green moss growing in the pool . They are charging a high price for their villas so they should have money to sort out these issues. The staff were friendly. Was a disappointing place when we previously saw the pictures on line. We would definitely not return or recommend to stay there.

Stay somewhere else! Where do I begin? The door to the bedroom doesn’t close all the way, so anything can come right in (for us, mosquitos and lizards), the shower has almost no water pressure and takes 20 minutes to get hot. Also, they don’t provide wash cloths…? Only bath towels and hand towels. The meals, although tasty, were very very small. Pictures are extremely deceiving and I honestly can’t believe the money I spent to stay here. I read other bad reviews and should have just listened. The staff was really nice and the location is perfect but that’s all they have going for them.

After travelling for many years to Bali, I'm very sad to say that the quality and hygiene in this hotel was of very poor standard and im' shocked they are still charging high rates. Our bath tap was broken with no running hot water, only cold, the shower was also cold and smelt damp and dirty. The room had strong scent of mould and our pool after 2 days turned green color, which then had to be treated with strong chemicals before being able to swim again. There were mosquitoes and bugs throughout our room from the first night, which made it difficult to sleep. It really ruined our holiday but without the extra dollars we could not move to a new hotel. Management really need to consider repairing the hotel and spending time on maintenance before renting out to new customers. Im sure at one time this hotel was lovely and very well located. Hopefully in the future this hotel can be restored to its original high quality again. Regardless of the condition of the hotel the staff were very friendly and welcoming to us. Its a real shame as i have always loved the quality, service and wonderful hospitality when staying previously in other accommodation around Bali, hoping this review brings attention to these issues to rectify the problems for future visitors.

In my 20+ years of frequent traveling including over 10 visits to Bali - this is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It’s also the first time I’ve written a review because I don’t want others wasting hard earned money here. I am completely dumbfounded how they can charge $180AUD per night and have no regard for cleanliness or customer service. We were checked into a filthy villa only to be moved into another dirty villa - see photos of the toilet. They actually replaced the toilet, then the shower head because that was faulty after raising my concerns. My son jumped into the pool and had dirt all over him. The pool was filthy. They said they needed to put a treatment in and this would take 3 hours. Why pay for a pool villa if you can’t use the pool immediately? The toilet wouldn’t flush properly and I’ve never seen so many mosquitoes and small spiders in a villa room before. I had to ask for handsoap as none was provided in the bathroom. We didn’t use the villa pool because it never felt clean. The main pool is lack lustre and I never saw anyone using it. The manager did not come speak to me at any point instead communicating through other staff and never showing any genuine concern about the filthy state of the villas. The location is excellent and some staff try their best but this doesn’t justify the exorbitant room rate and unclean villas.

This is possibly one of the worst villa stays we have encountered as a couple on any of our travels worldwide We count ourselves as very well travelled and indeed I travel internationally for work and have been on every continent apart from one so I know poor when I stay in poor !. We were skeptical before checking in as some new reviews has been posted about the quality of the Regali Villas but we decided to check in none the less. As we arrived there were workmen cutting tiles in the entrance so a bad omen to start with and builders working on a block of flats on the other side of the entrance. The lobby is tired and grubby and the paint is peeling off the walls , the glass is dirty and there are numerous Gekos clinging to the ceiling. The pool area is tired and dated and the sun loungers are all dirty and shabby . The door to our villa No 12 was held closed with a small padlock and the doors did not close properly .Upon entering the villa there was insecticide in scents burning to obviously detract mosquito’s . At first because of poor light it wasn’t obvious how mouldy and rotten everything was.the doors to the villa itself did not meet in the middle and would not lock unless we both pushed them closed whilst I locked it with the key. Inside the room smelt foists and damp , the bed linen although clean was very off-white and need to be renewed . Outside on the sun terrace alot of the planks were rotten and u risked putting your feet through them ,the sun loungers were dirty and disheveled , and I’m the birders there were several bare wires showing , I wasn’t prepared to see if they were live or not !!! , the shower cubicle was moody and the bath was badly worn and marked , in fact all the fittings in the bathroom and villa are old and require replacing . Just after 16:30 pm i noticed mosquitos inside the bedroom despite having the doora and curtains closed .To sleep we closed the mosquito nets around the bed but they were threadbare and holed in numerous places .Needless to say my wife and I had one of the worst nights sleep since arriving in Bali 10 days ago In the morning breakfast arrived Luke warm and was not to my taste at all so we left 90% of it. As soon as we could we left the villa in the morning and spent the rest of the day finding another place to stay , we managed to find a lovely villa on Air BNB for the rest of our stay which we then packed all of our things and moved over too . All in all we had to spend with Taxis etc another £500 to have somewhere nice to stay ,so we are out of pocket nearly £1000 !!! . Regali villas would not refund a single Ruppee to us so we will be leaving this post in a hope it stop other travellers from making the same mistake we did . Hopefully The pictures I post will reinforce my post and show that I only speak the truth. Please if you want somewhere clean and safe don’t stay at this place and there is no way this is anymore than a 1 or two star accommodation at best. There is no apology from the management team that will suffice so please don’t bother . I can’t load more than 10 photos but hopefully u will see what I mean .
