At OAZIA, we advocate holistic lifestyle, and no detail is unimportant to us – from the interiors to the spa cuisine to designing the guests’ itineraries - everything is tailored to offer the best of Bali. White fabrics, limestone and crystal chandeliers, combined with the garden full of scents of frangipani and gardenia, create an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity with a touch of luxury. Three individually designed villas, which themselves are masterpieces, are completed with works of contemporary Indonesian art and antiquities. Each villa boasts an array of luxury amenities, including a large swimming pool, a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious semi-outdoor living-room and the plentiful lounge areas – all that topped off with complete privacy. Pleasant extras include a private car with driver and a mobile phone with a local SIM-card – both are complimentary and remain at guests’ disposal throughout their stay. What truly differentiates OAZIA from the myriad of other retreats is that anyone staying here is treated like the owners’ personal guest. The guests are welcomed on arrival, encouraged to call directly with any questions or issues, and are welcome to join for lunch, dinner or party, should they feel like exploring the social side of life in Seminyak.

Our only niggling doubt about Oazia was when the taxi driver couldn't find it.
As soon as we walked through the entrance and were welcomed by a concerned Ayu, we knew that we had made a good decision.
It's only after you leave Ozario that you can rationalise what makes the experience so complete. Is it the ambience, the tasteful architecture & decor, the large private pool, the quiet & efficient service, the spa, the privacy, the location near the river & rice fields, the quality of the food?
Other places do all these things well, but Oazia gets it all together at every stage of your stay. On arrival you are given a mobile phone with staff number presets. Transport is available all day to wherever you choose. The manager, Made, comes to your villa to welcome you. Breakfast, served in your pool pavilion, is excellent. The bed is super comfortable. The pavilion seating is relaxing. All the staff make you feel like you are the only guests, and with your own private villa you may not ever see other guests.
We had a tour of the huge almost-completed bar/restaurant adjacent to the Villas which may just make that trip to Seminyak unnecessary. It Iooks stunning.
We have been going to Seminyak for many years and rarely go back to the same hotel. We have just booked Oazia for September, so we have at last found a home.
Congratulations Made, Ayu, Dodik & all the team. You do it so well. Looking forward you seeing you all soon.

We absolutely loved the OAZIA VIllas and are planning to go back. The whole property was magical and absolutely breathtaking. Everyone on the staff was incredibly nice and showed amazing hospitality. Our Villa White was stunning and incredibly comfortable. The view of the river from their Spa was totally relaxing. We absolutely recommend this place if you are visiting Bali.

We had such high expectations of OAZIA Spa Villas though unfortunately we left disappointed. This is just based on our experience there as I’m sure many others loved their stay. The staff are fantastic and we cannot fault them. They are very friendly and always there to help and our driver Dodik was always extremely careful and patient on the busy roads. Our comments are directed to the owner who might like to think about implementing some changes.

Our disappointments were related to our stay in the Orchid villa (one bedroom) - it is starting to look a little tired and could use some touching up. The pictures on the website show stunning accommodation and first impressions are great, but looking closer the villa needs an update to meet the standard expected of luxury accommodation (fresh paint, cleaning of kitchen cupboards etc). Also basic amenities that other hotels offer didn’t seem to be available such as conditioner for your hair, face washers, body moisturiser, travel adaptor, cable TV (we could watch a DVD but no TV available) and tea, coffee and milk (only Asian teas seemed to be available).

There are also many mosquitoes and wild life (geckos, lizards and frogs) in and around the villa. No matter how much repellent, coils and spray we used we were constantly being bitten. The bathroom area and living areas are outdoors so it is very hard to relax in these open areas for fear of being bitten. We didn't mind the geckos so much - a part of Bali, but the mosquitoes really impacted on our enjoyment - just having breakfast was unpleasant because of the bites, we had a rainy afternoon and to lounge in the villa we had to completely cover up all exposed skin, not perfect in tropical heat!!

I personally like to sunbath though in this villa there is very little direct sun due to the trees surrounding it. This might not bother everyone (the greenery is beautiful) but if you are after sun it's something to think about.

On previous visits to Bali we stayed in Seminyak and found that most days we would end up driving 15-20 minutes to this area for our meals and shopping as there are a lot of good options there rather than where the villa is located. Our driver was fabulous but my pregnant partner didn't love all the driving every day. Ultimately we spent our last few days in a different hotel so that we could truly enjoy the last few days of our 'babymoon'.

Nice 3 star place to stay not up to normal 5 star villas , fairly pricey for about 3 star , construction behind , nice staff , a long way when you count in the terrible Seminyak St traffic , villa kedidi much better 5 star villa if you want to be in Canggu , Oazia spa villas needs maintenance and freshen up , l go to Bali twice a year for 30 years but will stick with my 5 star villas much better value for money .

The place is simply amazing. Beautiful design, service and comfort.
Very friendly and professional staff.

Quiet, isolated and I agree with the previous comment: "It's not really close to anything so you have to use the driver to take you places. It was a nice surprise when they said they'd take us to Ubud to the next location on our trip :-). They are also really happy to take you and pick you up from Kuta etc. They supply a local phone for you to call them when you want a pick up which was unexpected and really good"

We stayed here for 2 nights recently as part of our honeymoon. I enjoyed the 1 bed villa, but I'd offer some advice as my new Mrs wasn't as impressed.

It's very expensive compared to other accommodation in Bali. We also stayed at the Mulia (Nusa Dua) - very good, Kamandalu (Ubud) - awesome!, Villa Balquisse (jimbaran) - good.

It's not really close to anything so you have to use the driver to take you places. It was a nice surprise when they said they'd take us to Ubud to the next location on our trip :-). They are also really happy to take you and pick you up from Kuta etc. They supply a local phone for you to call them when you want a pick up which was unexpected and really good.

Coming from the Mulia it was a bit of an anti-climax, and what was meant to be a highlight wasn't really as great as we expected. Spa prices where quite high (as we had come to expect) compared to the more local venues. If you really want a villa and are going to spent a lot of time in the villa then this is good but if you are going to explore then you'll be using the driver a lot and won't get value for money.

Basically, it was good, but for 2 days here we paid a similar price for 4 days at Kamadalu in Ubud. No contest.

My husband and I were here for a long weekend without the kids to celebrate our birthdays and wedding anniversary. This was our first trip ever without the kids (aged 3 and 5) so we wanted a place that was private, peaceful, free of screaming children and with a good variety of spa treatments on offer. Oazia fit the bill perfectly.

I had booked the Orchid Villa (1br) but was kindly upgraded to Villa Aqua (2 bdr). We only used the downstairs bedroom - I am not sure how much use would one would get out of the second bedroom as the stairs up to it are quite steep and the room itself is hot.

LOCATION .SETTING. VILLA DESIGN.

Positives
-Wonderful and tranquil location at the end of a "gang" but only a short drive to Seminyak or Canggu.
- Beautifully and thoughfully designed (I believe the owner is an ID and this is reflected in her choice of furnishings) in what I would label as "shabby chic European" style which makes a refreshing change to the dark teak often found in many of the traditional Balinese villas.
- Huge, great use of space, bright and breezy (note there is no ac or ceiling fans in the pavilions but we found them to be unnecessary), lovely garden and pool with lots of interesting design pieces.

Not so positive
- Aqua villa is starting to show its age (but not the common parts which were wonderfully maintained), particularly in the master bedroom where there stains on the wall under the ac unit and the wardrobes looked old and smelled musky.
- I personally am not a fan of open air bathrooms but I appreciate that this is Bali and this is part of the attraction for many. The bathroom needed more surface space to put toiletries. Towels on the first days were tattered and had a small hole.
- I found the bed to be very uncomfortable. Not sure why but everytime my husband moved just a fraction the whole bed moved. Neither of us slept well but this could simply be because we are used to our very firm bed at home. So not really a negative.. ?
- Cleanliness of the bedroom could be improved. I noticed marks on the walls (I think lizard droppings), the floor felt a bit sticky under foot and the big one - when we left I opened the bedside tables to check I had not left anything behind only to find six boxes of condoms lying around. Some boxes were opened but thankfully there were no used condoms in the batch! Either these were a welcome gift from Oazia (!) or the bedroom had not been properly cleaned between guests!!!

SPA
Amazing, amazing, amazing. I think this is what Oazia is all about. Hubby and I had a treatment for each day of our stay (so total 6 treatments ) and they were all excellent. Miss Ayu and her colleague were excellent therapists and the spa pavilion itself is just lovely - imagine having a massage with the wind blowing, the river trickling in the background and birds singing. It was really like out of a movie.

FOOD
Breakfast was included but apart from that we didn't eat at Oazia so I can not really comment. Breakfast was simple and good: eggs, fruit and yoghurt. We also had rice paper rolls and zucchini pancakes as a snack one day and they were good. Note there is no meat on the menu at all. this was not an issue for us but meat eaters might be disappointed.

SERVICE
Excellent. From Miss Ayu who handled my reservations swiftly and efficiently (and who is an equally excellent spa therapist) to Ketut the friendly and knowledgable driver to the smiling pool man.... All the OAZIA staff really deserve a mention.

HOW TO IMPROVE?
All in all we had a really enjoyable and relaxing short stay at Oazia but I believe there are a few minor things that could be improved to really elevate Oazia to excellent:
- general cleaning of the bedroom (see my comment above)
-attention to detail (I noticed that the fresh flowers were dying) also it was my hubby's and my birthdays and our anniversary and I mentioned this at the time of booking. Of course, we were not expecting any rose petals on the bed, champagne in the bath etc but in my experience most hotels would bring a small cake or a bottle of wine or something without you having to ask. Not a deal breakerbut, again, it's the little touches (like making sure flowers are fresh) that go a long way.

I would recommend Oazia to spa going couples looking for a peaceful and private break or honeymooners. I do not think Oazia is suitable for families with young children or those with mobility issues because of the layout of the villas and the steps.

Have been staying in villa white for 2 weeks with a few friends this summer. It was unforgetable experience! Villa white is a 4 bedroom villa with a big private pool, surrounded by famous bali flowers Frangipani. You cant find more peacfull place to stay. Choosing a villa for 6 nights is a rather frightening experience.what if it is awful! You are stuck and unhappy somewhere outside a town.BUT JOY OH JOY! We have ended up at Oazia. The service is perfect the villas are a fantasy world of privacy and good taste, the pool spotless. The car included for 8 hours a day makes the fact that the villa is in a quiet backwater an asset, only 20 minutes away from messy overcrowded Seminyak. We have been to Bali before so have seen the sights and are able to relax venturing out for a drink here and there at the big hotels and dinner as recommended by reviewers on Tripadvisor. This means we can really enjoy the villa's ambience.we have stayed in for lunch quite a few times and enjoyed the in villa service.Another plus is Ayu on reception.bookings etc are ever a problem, and she has even accompanied me to the cushion makers shop to translate and she has even been back to the shop to check the quality of the work.I think whatever you need to see or buy they will help sort out what to do.the drivers are excellent too.We are not honeymooners but have loved every minute of our stay which alas ends after 2 more sleeps! We'll be back for sure.
