WOW! Our favourite hotel in Bali. Why? Well first it has to be the accomodation itself - our "room" had a delightful private outside area with pool (partly shallow and partly deeper), two sun loungers, mini kitchen with fridge and double day bed. Then into the huge bedroom with very comfortable bed, through to another space for clothes etc and through again into the large bathroom with indoor/ outdoor shower and bath. Magical. Everything very clean as expected. Service was excellent throughout - from reception, to every worker - always a big smile and a hello. Restaurant breakfast was very good - as vegans we were happy by the good choice, although some of the staff do get confused at what vegan is, so you may need to ensure they understand. We liked the location as easy to walk down the main road all the way to the beach, and lots of vegan restaurants around which were all excellent too. We also used the spa - whilst at hotel prices (instead of the much cheaper spas on every road in Bali!) it was an excellent experience - great massage, facial, body scrub and flower bath for us a couple, and still very good value compared to the UK. Would love to come back!

My wife and I booked the one bedroom Aine villa for a week stay, here at Theanna, Canguu.
The villa is well presented, clean and thought out with a plunge pool, day bed and sunbeds, to let the days just drift away..There is also a outside kitchen area (as if you are going to cook) during a romantic stay. Room service is available until 9.30pm to have cocktails and delishous meals sent to you without the need to leave your own oasis, if you wish. You can while away the hours in the outdoor/indoor bath, and the resort will even make their own bubble bath for you. There is a large,beautiful infinity pool adjacent to the resort bar and restaurant, if you venture further than your own villa, with plenty of sunbeds and seating on hand.
Our package included breakfast, which included a choice of a meal from the menu, fruit, pastries, yougurt and juices from the buffet station. There is plenty of choice and you won't leave hungry.. The lovely Putri will do her best to ensure you have a wonderful experience, and she is so helpful and friendly. So, a big shout out to Putri and all the staff in the restaurant, who looked after us exceptionally during our stay.
We also had treatments in the resort spa during our time and it was wonderful to be able to relax without having to barter prices and having the risk of our belongings taken, which we have heard of. The prices are very reasonable and Maria and Ade looked after us so well, thank you. Thank you to all the wonderful staff here at Theanna, they were all lovely and helpful.
My only disappointment here, was the resort gym. I do like a morning workout and there isn't enough to be inspired about here. I did join a gym across the road from Theanna (Topstretching) which did cater for all my needs during the week.
If you do venture into Canggu, be prepared for the busy roads as it's crazy busy at the moment.Lots of Insta posers looking for the next best photo. They are everywhere. There is a hotel shuttle bus (included) that takes you in and around the main strip of Canggu, we found this great to use and leaves throughout the day.
The restaurants and night-life is plentiful in Canggu, the best in Bali so far. To many to check out in a week stay. So, unlucky us will have to book again and staying here at Theanna for sure. Enjoy !

Whilst the decor of the resort is nothing to write home about, Theanna delivers in terms of a well designed space. Not only is each bedroom spacious, the bathroom provides ample towel & clothes rails, and shelves. I had an amazing trip, felt very at home and well taken care of by the staff. They were always available, I arranged a few things during my stay with the WhatsApp concierge including a shuttle to the airport (which you need to reserve in advance), my travel PCR and room service needs.
I am a woman travelling alone and was a little anxious about security but they have staff on the grounds 24/7 and made me feel very safe. Even when I found a spider in my room at 1:30 AM the security came to my rescue and removed it without hesitation.
They had a wonderful array of room service offers which spanned a lot of different dietary restrictions. The spa was so calming, I got a full massage service which left me feeling so relaxed. The room service staff also worked so well with my schedule, I was always returning to my room with it freshly cleaned, or my sheets turned down in the evening with a mosquito coil going to keep my space bug free!
I didn't love the beaches in Canggu, and they're slightly too far to walk as the streets aren't really designed for pedestrians, but you can easily arrange a very inexpensive car to take you to Ubud, Uluwatu etc. They also have bikes you can use!
So many great restaurants in the area and fun bars. I cannot recommend the service/experience at Theanna enough if you're looking for this location, I wanted a balance of fun and relaxation and found this to be the perfect experience.

Hands down one of the best places I've ever stayed. The hospitality from staff and the customer service was 10/10. I had contact with the hotel directly via WhatsApp straight after booking to confirm everything before charging my card. On arrival, we felt so welcomed and shown to our room (Hikara) which was better than the photos! We were celebrating birthdays so we had a lovely flower display on the beds and a petal bath which was a lovely touch! We got a complimentary floating breakfast for one morning to book which we didn't know so that was a lovely treat. We only had breakfast at the hotel but the food was great each time! Small things were really noticeable like the toiletries in the bathroom, cleanliness, the ease of asking for robes and a shaving kit etc was super easy. All contactable through WhatsApp so didn't even have to leave the room and super speedy service with a smile too! They helped us arrange a taxi to the airport on the way home too which was very cheap. The spa looked lovely as did all of the grounds and facilities but we didn't end up using the spa. The hotel was a short walk from lots of restaurants and bars but you would never know as it was so peaceful and idyllic in resort!
Could not fault this place at all ..my only recommendation would be to take mozzy spray as we got bitten quite a lot but the staff came in every evening and sprayed so were doing all they could - we are prone to getting bitten so not at all something in their control!
If I could rate higher than 10/10 I absolutely would. Would 100% return as I'd be worried of going somewhere else and not liking it as much as Theanna!

We stayed in a private villa and absolutely loved our stay. From the moment we arrived everything was perfect, the staff were all SO lovely, the entire accommodation is gorgeous - everything is immaculate and so relaxing. We loved the location, it is far back off the street enough that it was so quiet and peaceful, but right in the middle of Canggu so very easy to get anywhere with amazing cafes and restaurants in easy walking distance. The spa was the best massage we had in Bali, breakfast was amazing, the pool gorgeous. Our villa was so luxurious for us which we weren't expecting, we loved the outdoor bathroom that opened out to the pool and the entire villa was a lot bigger than it looked in the photos. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the stay. We also loved the eco-friendliness of the villa, there were filtered water stations and many little things in the rooms with reusables etc, to be more sustainable. We were very sad to leave!

Beautiful villas in a great location in Canggu. The villas are set well back from the main road meaning you get no noise from the busy street. Within immediate vicinity are a couple of really good authentic restaurants, black sand brewery, some cafes for great coffee and several convenience stores. It’s an enjoyable stroll down to Canggu beach, with plenty of spots you can stop for a drink along the way. Theanna offer a shuttle service, either scheduled or on demand. The villas and pools are beautiful and the restaurant serve high quality dishes (get the Tek Tek for breakfast!), but the stars of the show are without a doubt the staff. No request is ever an issue and they go well above and beyond to make your stay memorable. When we left after 6 nights it felt like we were leaving family, I’d have no hesitation in booking Theanna again

We have just had the most spectacular 7 nights at Theanna in Canggu and I would highly recommend to everyone! The setting is gorgeous and peaceful with beautifully kept gardens, and our room was a dream, well appointed and exquisite. The rooms were serviced twice daily with thoughtful attention to detail and the private courtyard and pool were just a joy to relax in. It feels like you enter your own little oasis right off the Canggu Main Street, everything is just outside the hotel. The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, available 24/7 for anything you need. We had especially wonderful service every morning for breakfast from Putri at the restaurant, she welcomed us each day and made sure our stay was personalised and special for us. The food was all delicious, we are vegan and there are extensive vegan options, including a romantic dinner for 2. I hope we can visit again soon, thank you so much to the whole team at Theanna.

Coming into the the Theanna Eco Villa and Spa was so beautiful, I let out an "omg" while walking. Stunning villas are all located down a beautiful walk way that is always from the hustle and bustle of Canggu. It's so peaceful and quiet with only the occasional noises of insects and the lapping if the pools.
We stayed in one of aine villas. It had its own personal pool and was perfect and private for us as a couple.
Each room has refillable bottled water that you can refill from the fountains along the path. I loved this as it meant I used less plastic. I loved the focus that Theanna has on sustainability. The room also provides shampoo, conditioner, body gel and lotion. All get refilled while you stay. There is also a small kitchenette with a fridge and kettle. We didn't use the stovetop (so much amazing food in Canggu and in the restaurant).
The Ketela Eatery is on the premises and provides a delicious breakfast with fab vegan options. The corn fritters, avo 3 ways and fried rice were strong favourites. Along with yummy fresh juice and tea and coffee. The staff were such a pleasure and I looked forward to each day. They took the times to remember our names and it felt like having a little family meal each time we ate there. I will really miss their beautiful smiles.
There were so many services provided at Theanna that I felt I never had to leave! There is a spa (with a beautiful massage), a gym, shuttle bus and a communal pool (if you get sick of swimming I. Your own private one!) The staff were so attentive and helped with all my questions. Even providing me with a yoga mat for my room.
As I sit here writing this review, I'm surrounded by the lapping of the pool and fragrant flowers. As much as I miss my home, it feel equally at home here. There is nothing like waking up in this wonderland before exploring Canggu. I shall miss this beautiful place. Thank you to every single person who made my stay so beautiful and welcoming.
Top tip: don't leave without having a bath that overlooks your pool. Or have a cheeky 10pm dip, it's so cool and the water is so inviting after a day of exploring (or doing absolutely nothing!)

Hi ... Theanna eco villa and spa have a twin bed configuration (2 single bed) for 1 bedroom villa for Hikari Theme.

in general it is still safe to walk from the hotel to the beach. However, we cannot guarantee this to be totally save. We must also protect ourselves from endangering ourselves. The distance from the hotel to the beach if walking takes approximately 30 minutes but the hotel provides free shuttle service at any time if you want to go to the stone beach.

This reply may be a bit late.But in reply to your question, footpaths very narrow, and having to walk on road at times to get around parked vehicles and bikes. Having said that,the villa will drop you off and pick you up at no cost anytime....Nothing seemed to much trouble for them.
