I've stayed at Cape Fox several times and it's very nice. Don't expect the cable car to work and management doesn't have plans to fix it. Aside from that the rooms are clean, the food good and the staff friendly. The location perfect.

The lodge sits up on the hill overlooking downtown Ketchikan and the Tongass Narrows. The view is great, and the location is away from the hustle and bustle of the cruise ship passengers, who start hitting the streets about 8 a.m. The restaurant is fine for breakfast, but vegetarians will find it a challenge for lunch or dinner. The lodge...

We stayed at cape fox lodge for one week this past May. The staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating We ate several meals at the restaurant. The service was great and the food was excellent. We also enjoyed the mothers day brunch. Very well run hotel!

The hotel is very welcoming with an authentic décor. If you take the time to really look there are some interesting artifacts that give you a nice feel for the history of the area. Our original room was a bit disappointing (very small, very warm and dirty shower) but a mention to the front desk and the manager took charge....

We stayed here the night before we float-planed out to out fishing lodge. It was quite nice and right next to the water. Very good restaurant and bar with live entertainment. The rooms were nice and the grounds were beautiful.

My bathroom had not been cleaned when I check in. When I shared that with the front desk they said they'd get someone up to do so, but never offered an apology or acceptance of "responsibility". That was the beginning of two nights of less than attentive or genuine customer service. The refrigerator cases in the lobby had been broken...

Location is perfect for town, you can walk or ride the tram right there. I would of given 5 stars but the tram was broken. Nice large rooms with good views. Restaurant for dinner had great food. Breakfast was good too just slow to order..they seemed short staffed at the time. Overall very good and id come back

Cape Fox Lodge has an interesting location overlooking the town. The restaurant serves good food but it was sometimes slow to come. There is a very nice walk to see some totem poles the lodge level. Taking the funicular down to the town puts you in an interesting tourist area. I liked it.

Nice hotel. Be sure to get water view room. Cable car not operational during our visit but enjoyed the hike up and down the creek trail to get into old town. Some confusion at front desk with shuttles and storage. Didn't seem to have great communication between staff members. Some visitors were taken over to airport by shuttle on ferry....
