We've been in Juneau before, but stayed elsewhere, not realizing it was far from downtown. If you've come to Juneau without a car and don't rent one, you will want to stay downtown. Taxi's are not cheap at $25 a pop, and shuttles don't always run when you need them, nuff said. I spotted this hotel and decided I would...

This was my second stay at the Goldbelt Hotel. The is a nice property in downtown Juneau just down the street from the Cruise Ship Terminal. Walking distance to great restaurants and Mt Roberts. The best part of our stay was the employees who greeted us each day. Special shout out to Shannon and Steven who went above and beyond...

Hotel was ok but very dated. Staff didn't have the customer service quality you find at a Starwood or Hilton hotel. It seemed that the tried giving a face lift but fresh paint still showed all the wear and tear underneath. Was expensive for this quality at $200/night. Did have free wifi which was a plus.

This place reminds me of an old Holiday Inn. Value for money is not worth it. Paid for a mountain view and had a gorgeous view of a house. Bed extremely soft, or worn. Woke up with sore back. Comforter extremely heavy and very warm. Otherwise just a sheet to cover. No mid weight blanket. TV worked fine, and lights...

This is an older but well maintained hotel with spacious rooms. Our room was clean and room. We fortunately were given a room overlooking the harbor which was entertaining. While sipping a wine we could watch the float planes take off and land in front of us as well as those giant ugly cruise ships making their way in and...

Based on other reviews, you'd think you're on a different planet where normal hotel standards shouldn't apply simply because you're in Alaska. I suppose that would be true if I was in a cabin above the Arctic Circle, but in the state capital I am going to apply the same standards as anywhere else. So here goes: First the good-Rooms...

First time traveling to Juneau and we had trouble choosing a hotel and the Positive reviews on Tripadvisor led us to choose the Goldbelt and we are happy! We got into Juneau a bit early and called for early check in, when we got to the hotel the lobby was packed and a single young man was there, doing everything;...

This hotel was perfect for our Juneau vacation! Our reservation at another hotel got cancelled and we had to turn to the Goldbelt last minute and we are happy that it came to that! Shannon at the front desk quickly set up our reservation and gave us a wonderful harbour view room, it was great! Thanks Shannon! The rooms were...

Goldbelt is easily the best, cleanest place in town. Recently remodeled, great location... The restaurant on floor level is solid. Also, Shannon at the front desk is the man, super helpful, good young guy.

Upon check in, Anthony and Steven were personable, friendly and helpful. They worked hard to provide a room to my preference, a water facing King Bed room. They provided details on the gym remodel and options for working out.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are in the process of turning the Goldbelt hotel into a Four Points by Sheraton Juneau by October. So far we have completed the floor by floor renovations, new "Free" high-speed Wi-Fi installed, repaved our parking lots, and McGiveney's Sports Bar & Grill has officially opened and is the best restaurant in town! They are opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner. ***The Goldbelt Hotel has free but limited parking for hotel guests since we are centrally located downtown. Please understand that parking is first come, first serve, but there are many public parking options available in the Downtown Juneau area.*** ... more   less
