Quirky inn with some real positives along with some negatives. The negatives center around maintenance; the inn is definitely tired and needs some loving attention. But first, the positives:
1. Stunning view location overlooking Homer
2. Absolutely delicious homemade breakfasts

Only had one night in Homer and I’m glad I chose to stay here. Had a lovely welcome to get oriented with the city and then I was off to enjoy the beautiful weather. The property is lovely with amazing views! It’s quiet and relaxing place to return to at the end of the day. Th

Pleasure is ours to have you. It was so much fun having you staying with us. Looking forwards to your return visit another season, perhaps next Spring when all the new born baby moose come around, or before the Spring Equinox time for Aurora.

The rooms were great, the views were amazing, and Juxia’s breakfast was excellent. Juxia and Stephen were very nice hosts and everything they recommended was interesting and fun. We stayed 4 nights and felt like it was our home away from home. A couple of months before our tr

A lovely room with a beautiful view, the breakfast was fine, and Juxia was a great hostess - cheerful, helpful and pleasant, BUT, the host was a bit of a downer and had some weird rules about coffee, hot tub, etc. that seemed to make all the guests uncomfortable. We’d recommend i

Dear ojarstars, Glad you enjoyed the room, views and breakfasts. We are sorry you felt differently from other satisfying guests regarding coffee and hot tub. These guidance have been in place for years. If you knew the issues behind the guidance, you would understand better. The hot tub rule is copied from a chain hotel, anyone who owns a pool or tub knows the drills.... safety & health are crucial. The coffee set-up usually works pretty well for everyone when guests read/follow the instructions. We know the look craving for coffee... we do take coffee seriously.....that is why the special blend is served for all at breakfast time, but not other times. It has been a long and busy summer for us. We do get tired, irritated by some unintended irresponsible behaviors and our humor might not work for some situations....yet, rest assure, we do care about our guests. We always do our best to take care everyone. We thoroughly enjoy the most wonderful guests we could ever ask for, especially a few veterans from the Vietnam era. Thank you for your service! It has been an honor serving you at Halcyon Heights, also a vietnam-era veteran owned bnb.

We stayed with Stephen and Juxia for two nights in mid-season. They both clearly love Homer and have a wealth of information to share. Juxia arranged an amazing kayak trip for us and cooked a special meal for us early. Stephen has a wealth of stories and welcomed us warmly. The r
