Eagle River, Alaska
Reviewed 16 September 2015

Land's End is on Katchemak Bay, one of the most beautiful spots in Alaska. Rooms overlook the bay and are right on the beach. We watched humpback whales breaching and rolling in the bay, along with seals, otters, lots of marine birds, and fishermen caught small fish right on the beach. The ambiance of this place is lovely, even if...

Thank you for choosing Land's End Resort and for your repeat business and very nice comments. The end of the Homer Spit on the shores of Kachemak Bay is truly a magical place. I often tell people that the view (to me) is always different but always beautiful. We have had almost daily sightings of whales including Humpbacks and Orcas....

Our last night in Alaska we stayed in #708 and it was wonderful. The home was beautiful and the view breathtaking. Where else can you wake to otters playing in the ocean and an eagle sitting on the beach. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us for the night.

Beautiful location with a beautiful view!! We stayed 2 nights at the Land's End Resort. The staff was very friendly and kind. Due to circumstances I had to change our reservations 2 different times and the staff was very kind and helpful. We enjoyed the normal tourist shopping but the best was the harbor and walking the beach. Make sure...

Thank you for choosing Land's End Resort and for your very nice comments about our resort, restaurant and staff. Our team strives each and every day to live up to our mantra "Where Smiles and the Ocean Greet You at the Doors!" It's all about the location. Land's End is located on the very end of a narrow four mile long spit that sticks out into the bay. And it is a beautiful location. Every room has a view of the narrow beach (good for walking) outside and across the bay to gorgeous snow-covered mountains. Whales, sea otters, and other wildlife were...

Thank you for choosing Land's End Resort and for your very nice comments. Our location on the shores of Kachemak Bay is a special place, that even we that work here enjoy every day. I am thrilled that you enjoyed your stay here and we hope to see you back soon.

Unit #717 is a beautiful, well-maintained single bedroom condo in the Land's End complex. Negatives are that no daily services are provided and Internet access is awful. Million-dollar views and within walking distance of all Spit destinations. Had the Internet access been reasonable, it would have rated excellent.

Thank you for choosing Land's End Resort and for your nice comments. Unit 717 is a beautiful unit and our location provides excellent views of Kachemak Bay and the multitude of wildlife in its waters. I am happy to report improvement on two items that you mentioned. The view from the tip of the Homer Spit across the inlet is the drawing point for Lands End. Our stay was pleasant, although a bit scrunched in our double bed. Summer fares are fairly high, so we opted for a less expensive room in order to be able to stay longer. Next time, we think we'll stay further into...

This hotel is located at the end of the road on the Homer spit. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfy and the down comforter made it even better. The shower was great as well, lots of hot water and pressure. We would stay here again.

It used to be a very nice warm welcome a couple of years ago. Althoug sometimes you are lucky to have friendly people at front desc, you might, for the same token run into unwilling people too. Last year there was a person working in the restaurant that made us loos our appetite. We did nit try again this year....

My family and I stayed here for a week with another family. The name appropriately describes the location. It is literally at the end of the spit.
