This was our third visit to Girdwood and the bed and breakfast we stayed at before was not excepting guests due to the Covid pandemic. We stayed in Kobuck’s Stall which is a renovated room that used to be the owners horses stall. I wasn’t sure what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised at this beautiful done unit by the owner who is a carpenter. Separate living area, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom. Everything was new and spotless. We had everything we needed for our 2 night stay.
My husband and I stayed two nights in Kobuk’s Stall for a little adult getaway. The accommodations were amazing! Rachel & Jake were so friendly and their property is beautiful. Kobuk’s Stall has everything we could need, very comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The hot tub was perfect! I couldn’t locate my necklace after returning home and two days later decided to check in with Rachel to see if she could check - I knew it was a long shot but she found it! We will definitely be back!
Nice B&B in the town of Girdwood. Beautiful grounds, building and breakfast room. Delicious breakfast. Friendly, informative innkeeper. Property grounds quiet, set in the woods. Only issue - All rooms seemed quiet except for ours - Coach room. Located next to stairs and front porch creating much noisy foot traffic. No privacy when window coverings open for breeze. Stay away from Coach Room and you will have a terrific stay.
We stayed for two days in the Hayloft celebrating our anniversary in Girdwood. We never used the full kitchen, but it was stocked with everything. I planned on at least cooking breakfast, but we were so busy hiking and out and about so we just ate out. Maybe next time. Thanks to Rachel for helping us with the cable tv. We don't use cable and I don't know why people require it especially when on vacation, but just my opinion. The wifi was great. Most important...the bed was so comfortable! We will recommend this place to our friends, and if we plan to stay in Girdwood, we will definitely come back.
Nice place! Great style, very clean, convenient location, quiet, wi-fi, nice hosts... The only negative is I wish they had a couple small shelves, tables, or something in the bathroom/bedroom area to put some clothes and toiletries on. For a fantastic drive, drive all the way to the end of the road, past the mine. It takes you way up into the mountains. There's a great trail at the end. You don't have to hike the whole thing, but go a mile or 2 to get above the tree line.... wow!
