We only spent one night at The Girdwood Guest House, but we really enjoyed it. There was a full kitchen, a king bed, and a twin futon for our 14 year old son. There are great places/paths on which to get in an early morning jog in Girdwood. Very quiet neighborhood....Beautiful area....my husband saw a moose and a calf in the neighborhood as he went walking! Super cool!
This is my 2nd time staying at this charming little B&B. The smell of Judy's fresh home baked bread and delicious jam greet you upon check in. Clean, comfy, and cozy with all the comforts of home. Nestled within the heart of Girdwood, within walking distance to the Mt. Alyeska slopes, shopping and restuarants. Can't wait to visit again.
My family stayed in Girdwood Guest House for 2 nights. We found it is an ideal place for us to take Sea kayaking day tour in Whittier. The fully furnished room is beautiful and quiet and clean, with very good free WiFi. Judy the owner is very nice and help us to contact the tour provider.
We only stayed one night at this cute apartment style B&B. Fresh loaf of bread provided by the owner along with extra food items in fridge. The accommodations were very comfortable and we enjoyed being able to make a homemade meal for a change. When we were checking in however, we were asked if we needed to do any laundry. Since we were headed to Homer to stay 7 nights in a rental house, I said that we didn't. She said there was a charge if we did. My husband noticed the fee schedule on the small stackable apartment sized w/d unit...$4 per wash load and & $3 per dryer load and $1 for soap. In my opinion $8 for a load (which would be a small load due to the size of the units) is a bit pricey. And I am very glad I didn't need to wash anything :the apartment was very clean and equipped with all that we needed.…
The guesthouse is located in a stunning awesome valley with views of gorgeous mountains and glaciers. Judy the owner is an exceptionally sweet and helpful lady. We got the room immaculate. Not a crumb or piece of dirt to be found, plus every necessity was in perfect order; from the towels to the toilet paper. She was so kind to bake this delicious fresh love of bread for us ready for our arrival even though we agreed prior to our stay that she would not need to be making us breakfast. The house is extremely neat and cozy and definitely worth every penny of it and is a "must stay by" if you are in Girdwood.
