quaint and clean. excellent stay and within multiple attractions without the noisy and bussle on Anchorage. my families kind of place. They were very personable. Girdwood, Portage, Whittier all close by.
A fine place to stay in the rv park. Fishing is good in nearby bird creek for salmon but difficult because of mud. Friendly staff. Right on the highway so traffic noise most of the time. Easy to find.

This lodge is fabulous. Accommodating, wonderful place to have lots of folks and has everything you need. We cooked every meal here. Commercial stove and roomy kitchen for several folks to help prepare meals. Bed rooms are adequate with 3 king bedrooms, and two additional rooms that can be setup as king or with twin beds. 4.5 baths. Some with tubs and some with showers only. Fantastic construction of this log home. Warm, cozy, foosball table, lots of TVs in multiple rooms, heated floors, hot tub on deck. 2 Washer and dryer sets. Owner has lots of rules, but that's what keeps this rental in such great shape. Large table will seat 20 people and separate breakfast table will seat 12. We had lots of folks here for various meals and never felt cramped. There are wonder animal mounts around the house and all well done. Even has a life size grizzly bear! We were here for a wedding and had to do a lot of preparation and accommodate lots of coming and going. This home was just perfect. Highly recommend Winner Creek Lodge in Girdwood, Alaska. Hope to be back in the future. …

If you like living in "junkyard" style, this is the place for you. We arrived at the property and it is a mess outside. There was a lot of confusion on reservations. We decided to go with our gut and not stay.

This is a beautiful spot but be warned. We arrived without transportation and it is a good thing for us that we are physically fit. We walked to both lunch and dinner and even walked to the Alesyka tram which was approx 1.5 miles. We just returned home from our trip. The hot tub was nice and our host and hostess were more than accomadating. This is a great spot to recharge your batteries. We were fortunate in that Mother Nature blessed us with sunshine. Had it rained we would have been grounded but only because we had no vehicle and there is no public transportation in Girdwood. We would gladly stay there again but would have a car.
