Absolutely great place. Remote location that you can only get to by boat through AWA. I think the maximum capacity is only around 20 people. Very simple, but clean and comfortable cabins. Outstanding service from every staff member we had contact with. We stayed at all 3 AWA lodges and I thought the food here was the best of the... More

We're so happy you enjoyed your stay at our backcountry gem. You're right - the lodge only accommodates about 18 guests to ensure a more intimate experience. We're truly lucky to have such an amazing chef staff, and we're proud of everyone on our team. Thanks again for choosing us! More

The lodge is remote - and that makes it such an amazing experience. Their environmental impact is minimal, but the lodge and cabins are great. Sitting on the beach by the lake staring at the most amazing scenery can't be beat here. Except that the food is fantastic, and the staff is amazing. Super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable - they... More

Comfortable cabins in a wonderful remote wilderness location. It takes some effort to get to the Lodge on Skilak but it is part of the experience. We rafted down the Kenai and then motored across the lake. The walks are great and aided by excellent guides. The food is good but somewhat weird with many sweet additions to savoury dishes.

Breathtaking. Bucolic. And beyond. We stayed at three lodges in Kenai and the food in this one was out of this world! All the more amazing given its remoteness and small kitchen in the old original cabin. The staff here and at the other lodges really makes the whole experience special. A fire heated sauna after a long day's hike... More
