We stayed at Matriki for six nights and we loved the beach hut right at the beach! Yes, the hut was small and basic, but realy, how much time do you spend there when you are on a bounty island with the beach starting right at your doorstep. With (beach) towels and a mozzie net provided, all you realy need...

Hi Thanks for you review, We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. It really is a good place to unwind, and yes it is a bit basic but then as you say when you are in paradise you don't need a lot. We try to keep costs down so you can spend your time doing all the adventurous stuff,...

We absolutely loved our stay at Matriki Beach Huts. This little piece of paradise is just bursting with character and ambiance. The huts are rustic which in a way adds to the whole Robinson Crusoesque deserted island vibe enhanced by the fact that there are only 5 huts/rooms in total. The rooms are basic however - just a step above...

Don't miss Matriki if you are looking for the place to be for not a lot of money in Aitutaki. You have everything you need there, from your own beach bungalow, very unique and an amazing view. Scooters, snorkel gear, your hosts have everything for you to rent if you need. We did the sorkeling day trip with them, and...

We stayed 12 nights with Tracy and Trevor at the Matriki Beach Huts. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The two of them try to do everything to make your holiday something special. The huts are really clean, as well the toilets and they clean up the beach every morning (even the 5 star resorts next to Matriki don't...

We returned a week ago after a 6 day stay with only positives to report. This place was worth the three flights from Adelaide. Others had far longer journeys and this indicates they thought it worth the effort. Comments here show that the management has changed and Tracey and Trevor work flat out to make improvements and keep visitors happy....

We rented the entire Tree House which was ideal for a family of four - our teenage girls loved being on their own downstairs! Being able to snorkel right outside the hut was amazing and I highly recommend Trevor's snorkelling trips - and the lunch (especially the coconut pie!) We also went on a whale watching trip with Trevor and...

We did not stay in the Matriki house but we had heard very possitive reviews about the lagoon tours with Trevor and Tracey. And we were not dissapointed! The whole family of five had a fantastic day in the lagoon with superb snorkeling. Great lunch spot on one of the islands. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a...

It's all been said before, but this really is an outstanding holiday accommodation option. So beautiful, so laid back, with all the comforts you really need and so many bonus extras - heavenly lagoon right at your doorstep, brilliant snorkelling trips (yes, Trev, I was always last out of the water - so much to see!) and great companionship with...

I think you are right it is mostly the people you meet that make your holiday, here at Matriki if you want you can meet all sorts, guests here are normally a right royal bunch of characters...

My third stay at Matriki Beach Huts has yielded yet another happy, buzz-filled experience. The huts are delightfully kitted out, with an extra special touch to make you feel comfortable and cared for. The location is to die for, right on the beach on one of the most beautiful parts of the Aitutaki Lagoon. Lie there in bed at night,...

We fell in love with the charm of the place immediately after arrival and didn't envy any of the luxury resorts next door, it was just our thing and we felt very welcome by Tracey right from the beginning. We like the beach hut style from backpacking in Thailand and this one is as magic as any of those places...

Hi and thanks for your review. We are so glad you enjoyed staying with us, I can see that you are frequent and seasoned travelers, so our place is perfect for you. You have been to other places and appreciate what we have here and understand how hard this is to find in a remote little island. The fact is...
