A small basic resort, good location, right on the beach, friendly helpful owners, and it's got all you really need. I found that it had all I was looking for. It has no restaurant, but all you need to cook your own meals, and just steps to restaurants off the resort. Good

I stayed in the garden room for 6 nights. It was a lovely room, clean with its own shower and toilet and was only 1 minute away from the water. Byron and Erica were very welcoming and friendly. They have scooters and bikes to hire and Byron also does a lagoon cruise. However,

I stayed 7 nights at Matriki. I was looking for something with 'more' than the usual resorts. In this case less is definitely more. Individual very clean huts a few steps from water, swimming and snorkeling heaven. Take your favourite food, coffee then support the locals for

We stayedini the garden room for 10 nights. Clean and comfortable, has its own shower and toilet and is about 30 steps to the beach. Byron and Erica were great hosts, asking every now and again if we needed anything etc. I'd highly recommend doing a tour of the lagoon with

Hi I'm flying into Aitutaki, this us the right airport isn't it? Can I have a direct email address please? Kind regards, George.
George all the Matriki Beach Hut information you need is on their web page including their email address which is on the bottom of the page and yes Aitutaki is the right airport

Kia Orana! We have cleaned it up a lot since we took over management 1 month ago. It wasn't so much in need of renovation - it needed a freshen up, paint here and there and a good clean, and a bit of an upgrade with some of the equipment. It is now clean, tidy and safe. We will be doing ongoing improvements but it is very nice at the moment and is value for money. Regards Erica

Do the huts have their own private toilets and bathrooms?
Each bungalow has its own outdoor (enclosed) shower, and they all share 2 toilets in a mini toilet block. It's not far from the bungalows, and there is a sensor light for night time. The toilets have lights in them and are always beautifully clean with fresh flowers in them. I was a bit concerned about the bathroom situation too, until we arrived... It was great. :) Also the outdoor showers are awesome because although they're nicely enclosed, you can look up at the stars and the palm trees while you shower.
