We booked this lodge very short notice to experience the historic Denali highway on our way to the national park. The Denali highway is great to drive. It's mostly gravel but well maintained and no problem for basically any car. The lodge was easy to find right after the 68 mile sign on the right side (driving west). The rate...

Thanks for the review! It was great meeting you. Since you were here, we now have a liquor license for beer and wine. So no need to haul it all with you! Hope you enjoyed your Alaska vacation! Jennifer

My husband and I spent the week in Alaska with Jennifer arranging all our tours including Denali National Park, a dog mushing tour at Jeff King's, and ATV/jeep tours through the area surrounding the lodge. Overnight camping and panning for gold on Windy Creek were a highlight of the trip. We fished and hiked with very knowledgeable, personable, and just...

This is truly an oasis in the middle of a desert so to speak. Jennifer, Claude and Robert treat you as family and a lifelong friend the minute you walk in the door. The lodge is comfortable, a taste of true Alaskan living and the food is very good. We had the large suite upstairs with our private bathroom across...

We spent a great two nights at Alpine Creek Lodge and especially loved our extensive jeep tour up Windy Creek. That was a fantastic day--- nearly 12 hours into some serious back country for great grayling fishing, gold-panning and wildlife viewing! Plus the scenery was astounding! And Bob's burgers and sausages were perfect! The crew at Alpine Creek were very...

I only stayed one night in a cabin the Alpine Creek Lodge mile marker 68 on the Denali Highway. I wish I would have had more time to explore. It is a fun and very comfortable remote wilderness lodge. Nothin fancy, but just what I wanted. If you want to experience the Denali Highway this is the place to stay,...

Nice, family style place to stay with good food and nice owners. Clean and quiet with wifi and nice hot showers. My husband and I did an overnight motorcycle trip in June and this was our overnight stop. Only complaint was that the room was a little warm and we weren't able to open the windows because of mosquitoes and...

My husband and I were cycling the Denali highway and after 86 miles from Cantwell we received a warm welcome from Jennifer. We stayed in the larger room with the queen bed and bathroom across the hall. This is a cozy lodge away from the crowds at Denali Park. Chrissy is an amazing chef. We had arrived at 9 pm...

The ride in is an adventure, then comes the "Wow" on arrival at the lodge. Stunning views, homely lodge and wonderful hosts. It is impossible not to get infected by their passion for this special place and for wanting to share it. Claude took us out each day for different experiences and he has a wealth of knowledge. You certainly...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a wilderness lodge in remote Alaska. We are open year round, every day. Alpine Creek Lodge is on the Denali Highway, so travelers can get there in the summer via a gravel road. 68 miles West of Paxson Alaska, and 67 miles East of Cantwell, Alaska. In the summer, we offer hiking tours, photography tours, wildlife viewing tours, gold panning tours, fishing tours and much more! Fully guided, or you can do it yourself! In the winter, the road is not plowed from October 15th to May 15th. During this period, snow machine, dog mushing, skiing, etc are the only way to get to us. Drop off and pick up are available in Cantwell, Alaska via snow machine or tracked vehicle. We are on the South side of the Alaska Range, in the Clearwater Mountains, and this is where you will find real Alaska! Jennifer Bondy ... more   less
