I needed to cross 2 National Parks off my bucket list and this venue was perfect for my short time allotment. The Bettles Lodge was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Would highly recommend the room with the private toilet (and Jacuzzi tub that we never used). The shower down the hall didn’t bother us. The common room was...

My wife and I recently spent three wonderful days and nights at Bettles Lodge. Our hosts and the owners, Eric and Heather, could not have been nicer and more hospitable, always checking with us to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our visit. Our primary reason for traveling to Bettles was to visit Gates of the Arctic and Kobuk...

Thinking about visiting Gates of the Arctic and Kobuk Valley National Parks? Bettles Lodge is your first stop! We wanted to visit both and the only way in is by air. Bettles Lodge offers a comfortable place to stay, home-cooked meals and air service to inside the parks. Hospitality is excellent at Bettles Lodge. All the staff and the owners...

An incredibly insightful 2 days into a place we really did not expect. It was in some ways like the TV show 'Lost'. Truly relaxing, great hosts in Eric and his wife who were excellent. This place is not luxury but it is an absolute gem in so many other ways

We recently spent three days at Bettles Lodge, AK. What an amazing experience! The staff was excellent and very personable. Our room at Aurora Lodge couldn't have been better. The food including the bakery goods was superb. And everyone remembered our name. Kevin, our pilot, did an excellent job of flying us to Gates of the Arctic and Kobuk Valley...

The owners of the property are awesome hosts. There isnt a whole lot to do out there unless you take a float plane to the Gates of the Artic etc. or some other flightseeing adventure. The visitor center for the National Park is right near the lodge but other than that not much else there. Unfortunately we were only able...

My wife and I stayed here on their Park Collectors package to be able to set foot on the ground at Gates of the Arctic NP and Kobuk Valley NP. Other than hiking or rafting into these 2 parks, this was the best and most convenient way of getting into these parks that I could find. I thoroughly checked out...

We recently visited Bettles as a launching pad to see Gates of the Arctic and Kobuk Valley National Parks. We were pleasantly surprised to find such wonderful and hospitable people working there- from the front desk staff (Grace and Kate were so fun!) to the owners (Eric and Heather- we loved the tour of both new and old Bettles-so amazing),...

I went to Bettles to go above the Arctic Circle. Learned a lot about the Arctic in the nearby Park Office. Great people. Although we were there for an afternoon snack the staf made up a lunch for us and gave us our Arctic Circle Certificates. Very nice folks just taken over the place. Worth a stay.

My wife and I loved this place Everything was just fantastic and we totally agree with all the previous "positive" comments. A couple of things to add; - the staff create a real "warm" environment - if you are considering dog sledding we strongly suggest you do it at Bettles - the whole set up seems a lot better than...
