The price is too high for what you get. Although the staff is nice and friendly, this premise is falling apart, literally. The ceiling paint in our room was constantly falling, there are unprotected electricity cables running in the room, the bathroom deeply rusted,... (pics below) we are fine with basic accommodations but here we felt exploited. Worth to stay...

Tobacco Caye Lodge has simple, but adequate, accommodations. Cabins have private bath, and cold water only. But - you have a front porch that looks directly on the ocean, with the gentle sound of waves 24-7. Best of all, you sit directly on the reef, so snorkeling is just a few steps away. The reef abounds with fish, rays, coral,...

We only ate and drank on Tobacco Caye as we stayed on a boat so I can't comment on the rooms. What I can tell you is the people who live here are very friendly and accommodating. We drank at a little bar on the north end of the island. The owner of the bar made fantastic drinks and he...

I was hoping for an idyllic, island treat and found a scruffy, un-cared for, 50's style holiday camp. The staff were friendly and the bed was clean, but the shower head was missing, slats are missing from the windows, there is no power from 6pm to 6am and there was no guidance about snorkelling in the area. I was sent...

I've travelled enough to recognize the difference between hostels, lodges, cabanas, hotels etc. and understand that you get what you pay for. I did not get what I paid for. There is too much to write so I'll keep it point form. The bad: - double charged: credit card before the trip and cash on the island (they stated the...

After a recent trip, I would not recommend Tobacco Caye Lodge to anyone. The service is nonexistant, we had to wait to check-in, were not told any info about the facilities, meals or island. The cabins are meager (think backpacker-hostel quality) and there is substantial noise transfer from neighbours, which is fine if I was paying a cheap rate, except...

We are so glad to have had the opportunity to visit this perfect place. We spent all 3 days of our stay snorkeling amongst the colorful reef, fish and rays. We are amateur snorkelers, with a teenage daughter, and we found it both safe, enjoyable, and beautiful. Melissa and Nigel were perfect hosts and snorkel guides. Thank you to Fermin...

A beautiful little spot on Tobacco Caye…Where the locals are! Can't go wrong great food, drinks and service especially with Jessie in the "office" she's very helpful and informative. A beautiful find here in Belize on the barrier reef and hard to believe that there's multiple options on this little "Caye" but this the best option here on Tobacco Caye...

If you want authentic, value for money, great bar, friendly an accommodating staff and management go there. Three years and I will return! Fish dinners are always fresh and good. This is what the Caribbean used to be like. Mr. Furman is da boss and will make your stay great!

The cabins are simple but nice with a hammock. Only electricity during night time. The meals are simple but convieniently served all day. The Island is very small but the vibe is nice and the reef just outside. Service was very good! The lodge offers snorkeling tours via Melissa. Enyoy!
