I have been staying at Hotel & Casino Costa Rica Morazan for about 10 years now every time I visit San Jose. The Ritz Carlton is not but if you are on a budget and looking for a comfortable, well located hotel this is it. There have been improvements in the hotel over the last year as there is new...

Given its location and price, I cannot consider the Morazan the best of the downtown San Jose hotels, but it is perhaps one of the better members of what, from what I can discern, is a very rum lot. Stayed 7 nights, paying in advance. After two nights I strongly considered booking another hotel and throwing away the additional $300...

Only stayed one night... Rooms were as expected from reading other reviews(2.5* is all I would rate). It was 60 dollars for a Friday night. . Which wasn't bad I guess. Hot water for the shower was hit or miss..and the air conditioner was noisey. It wasn't a bad experience. . But if you're on a budget then you can't...

The hotel is very old, there were a lot of reformations going own, but that's not a problem. The restaurant has only the basics, and the food is nothing to account for. Breakfast we just started having across the street in day 2. The bar has a lot of creepy people (men mostly) after dark it's not even fun and...

I stayed here agains several times in March, April and May. There are some rooms being upgraded with larger TV's. The restaurant upgrade appears complete. The AC's all seemed to work (I stayed in 3 different rooms) but the one in 312 sounds like an 18 wheeler idling in your room. Of course the traffic outside is louder than that.

After the arrival at San Jose airport our first destination in Costa Rica was the hotel morazan which was recommended to us by other travellers. Firstly the postive aspects of my 4 days visit: The room was tidy and clean, beds were comfortable, the hotel staff friendly and very helpful and also helped to organize tours. The breakfast was typical...

The Hotel Costa Rica Morazan is centrally located in downtown San Jose and has a very friendly and helpful staff. Priced in the mid-range economy class, the rooms are definitely a bargain provided one can put up with a slight mildew scent caused by antiquated carpet. But the rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a hotel bar that is...

This is my third stay at the Morazan and I still believe its one of the better values downtown. The price has gone up appreciably since my last stay a few years ago but that's typical of everything in San Jose. The rooms are still quite good. The bed is very low but was very comfortable with nice sheets and...

I have been in this hotel many times in last ten years.I see some nice improvements this last August. And for the price you pay,it is a great value.I personally like this place and staff is very nice. This is not a family oriented hotel. It is more for single guys or couples. Also, there is a casino downstairs if you like to gamble.They...
