A pleasant place to stay in SJ. Good room, good shower, safebox in room, high security, Wifi in common area (but not in room). Breakfast is fruit, juice, coffee, bread and jam/honey. The location is about 20 minute4 walk from centre of SJ. The staff are very helpful and kind (with one exception), and do their best to help you...

Casa 69 is a hidden gem in San Jose. When we arrived in San Jose and were dropped in front of the hotel all we saw was a blue door with the number 69 on it. I thought, uh oh, what is this place. But behind that blue door is a charming hotel with some nice touches. We stayed our...

I visited Costa Ricca with my partner this February and stayed 3 nights at Casa 69. The staff isgreat!! Rooms clean with great views. I especially loved being greeted by Perla and Romeo the house cats, they are such a lovely presence that adds warmth to an already welcoming and hospitable place. I highly recommend staying at Casa 69 and...

The hotel itself is really nice. There are two houses, the main house and one across the street. I have stayed in both. They are renovated houses so sometimes the bathroom feels like a closet, because maybe it was a closet at one time. The rooms are beautifully decorated. The staff is friendly and helpful. Given the area of town...

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa 69. The rooms were very clean. You have an awesome view of the City from the rooftop balcony. It is also located within walking distance of downtown. The staff is also great. We had a walking tour of downtown and were uncertain of how to get there. So one of the hotel staff...

I booked this place for one night a few weeks ago. Not only was the whole process seamless (from the booking emails, to the airport pickup, to check-in) but these people are genuine and want to make sure you have a good time. The room was large and clean. There was a bit of a smell from cats that another...

I have stayed in this B&B three times while in San Jose and it is the staff that makes this place so wonderful. This B&B is located down a small back street and is very easy to miss, but don't let the surroundings fool you. Both sections of the hotel are gated and I would recommend staying in the biggest...

We recently completed our first trip to Costa Rica January 18-28, 2012. We decided to spend our first and last nights in San Jose. We stayed at Casa 69. This place is incredible! No its not super luxurious but it is very nice and clean. The rooftop has a deck that overlooks San Jose. The staff was very courteous and...

I recently stayed at Casa 69. The staff could not have been more helpful and friendly, delightful. However the new owner Donna needs to work on her customer sevice skills. She is rather aloof and and disinterested. I don't require much other than a quick hello or a smile as I pass through and offer the same. I do recommend...

Thank you for your review, and the many positive comments. I would like to apologize that we were not able to be at our best when you were here. Unfortunately Donna was needed to deal with a serious family illness in Canada. This required her to spend a great deal of her time on the phone and placed a lot...
