My flight was delayed so I mailt the hostel and it was no problem! Staff is very nice and helpful, made some suggestions about activities. Lovely breakfast and the bed was good. There was a lot to do in the hostel as well, like a pooltable, computers, tv with Netflix and a BBQ-grill!

It was very easy to make a reservation for a bed, no complications at all, so that was perfect anyway. When I arrived at the hostel, I was immediately blown away how cozy the whole common area was arranged. Everything was explained to me in a very friendy way. The common bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which is amazing! You...

This is a great place to socialize and meet fellow travellers. Owner, Bryan, is friendly, present and approachable. Large garden with a resident rabbit. Huge tv room with free Netflix movies. A pool table and plenty of board games. A large organized, clearly labelled and clean kitchen is a pleasure to cook in. Love the free pancake and pineapple breakfast....

I travelled here quite a while ago, but I did not have a tripadvisor account at the time, and am just reviewing now. So for reference, I stayed here in March of 2011. We were a large group of 20 ppl,and stayed here for two nights at the beginning of our trip, and one night again at the end. We...

Someone took this mid-century house and made it even more GROOVY! There's a vibe about this hostel that I can't explain, but it just makes me feel like I'm right at home. Interesting and quirky artwork all over the place, great music always playing, and to top it all off, a well fed and very friendly bunny rabbit that tromps...

I had the displeasure of staying in a few different hostels on my recent trip to San Jose. The ones in town were so unpleasant. Bekuo was different. Spacious. Warm. In a great neighborhood and staffed by marvelous folks. Each of them was fun and super ready to help and the public spaces were alive and friendly.

Very cool hostel, super private room with bathroom, couch and tv! Lots of things to do in the hostel (games, musical instruments, pool table). Just a little far from the principals buses terminal but that's it! Very quiet area too!

Stayed at this hostel for only one night, but it was one of the best hostels I've stayed at in Costa Rica. Very friendly staff, super cosy and big common area and a well functioning kitchen. It's very social, easy to meet people and the hostel has a relaxed hippie-vibe which is very charming. Dorms are simple, but nice and...

Not a party hostel, but has a decent social scene and a good mix of interesting guests. Great little front patio. As it gets later at night, they close the doors between the various common areas, hide the TV remotes so people don't turn it on and make noise, and allow people to congregate in the room closest to the...

Perfect spot for anyone to stay in San Jose. Clean, friendly and a great vibe. Would highly recommend a night or two here en route in and out of the country although wouldn't stay in San Jose for too long.
