If we hadn't had help from the travel person at this hostel our trip would have been ruined through a scam. Cannot say enough good things especially if this is where you are starting your trip. Pura vida

It's a bit of a 50/50 here. The atmosphere is very nice and it has some great relaxation areas (little mattresses, sun loungers, hammocks) but the room itself was actually pretty basic for the price you pay. I found the actual hostel not really worth the money you pay for it (I've stayed in nicer for a LOT less). However,...

We stood in San José just 1 night for transfer, the train runs by the hostel after 5 AM so it's impossible to sleep after that. The public area is great, beautifull garden, kitchen, bar and restaurant. Lots of young backpackers chilling by the pool. We had a private room with a shared bathroom, the room was simple and clean...

Ahoy-hoy!! When you walk through the door and across the lobby (a nice lobby) you find yourself taken to another dimension where you are in the beach having mojitos by the pool. The place is amazing, super fresh and has all you need.

a little pricey after being in Nicaragua for a month, but it was nice to have a pool in the city. The kitchen was decent with 2 big fridges and 2 gas ranges but they really need more cutting boards and knives ( there was one of each). The owner wanted me to pay for matches to light the stove...

This place is okay. It's convenient, and Chris at the front desk is wonderful. However, my friend got such bad bed bugs she had to get medication and bomb her house. Also a girl I was sitting with had a slug in her salad. It was alive. Lol.

Stayed at Backpackers for one night after landing into San Jose late afternoon. This is a decent place to stay just as a pass through resort. Rooms are very basic but offer what you need. The showers were stone cold though. Hostel shuttle transfer from the airport is more expensive than other modes of transport such as interbus so I...

We stayed in this hostel on the first and last night of our holiday, in a private room. The room was basic and fairly clean, but the shower was freezing. It was extremely noisy at night and early morning from car horns. The outside area was nice to relax in and the tour desk was useful. We chose the hostel...

NO; for such a price, go a little bit out of the really center and have a nice, quiet & friendly backpacker guesthouse for lower price...

Hello, We are sorry to disagree, but we clean our beds everyday, we have a good system for shuttle service, in which people can take it, at the exact time they want and need, there are no limits for that. We also have a kitchen for all our clientes, 2 fridges and 2 different stoves where people can cook, it...

Hello, we try our best to give a good service, but in this case we would really appreciate to know more about the lady who was working on that morning. We have different staff during the mornings. About the noise, we can not change the sound of the train, most the places here in San José are afected for that....
