Stayed 3 days in the bungalows. greatly saddened by the disrepair. Broken lounges, Jacuzzi wouldn't heat, broken safe, windows and doors misaligned, cut by hand sawn aluminum around door lock, toilet seat needs repair, beach equipment torn up, thatched roof and bamboo fence rotting away and missing, surrounded by razor wire and barbed wire, no second key for room despite...

We (myself, my 16 month old daughter, and three family members) stayed at La Posada just this week. We loved everything about this place. We stayed at two other hotels, one in San Jose and one near Arenal and they were all different - but this was our favorite! Don't expect a resort-type atmosphere and if that's what you're looking...

My boyfriend and I stayed at La Posada for 4 nights earlier this month. We just loved the deer that came to visit us as we read by the pool and the adorable squirrell monkeys. We loved the room, the pool, the amazing breakfast and the cleaning woman was spectacular! The beach and great restaurants were just a short walk...

Spent the last part of our honeymoon at La Posada. Mike and his staff were wonderful! We were welcomed by the local deer and that afternoon had several spidermonkeys crawling on myself, my husband, and two friends (that we met at La Posada). The hotel is right (literally) next to the Park. A tip is to get up early and...

Thanks to the other reviews here, I stayed here with my husband and 2 young boys for 3 nights. It was perfect. It's a very short walk (less than 5 minutes) to the beach, park and end of town for shops and dining. However it's great that the street it's on is quiet and tucked away. It also borders the...

We just returned from two weeks in Costa Rica and La Posada was the highlight of our stay. Mike and his staff are just terrific. Our room was spacious and very clean - we were traveling as a family of 5. Breakfast in the morning was some of the best food we had in Costa Rica. And the atmosphere is...

La Posada was our second stop on our 2 week Costa Rican honeymoon and Mike and his crew at La Posada did not disappoint. Our room was very clean, the front desk staff was helpful and friendly at all times with great suggestions on where to eat, drink and have fun and the location right on the park was great....

Just back from this inn and highly recommend it. Sits in the hills of a suburb with a great view and nice rooms. You will not be dissapointed, Frank and Rita are very helpful and you will feel at home. A tip, get a cab ride provided by the inn from the airport, it's about $18 and their guy knows...
