I stayed here at the start and end of my trip through Costa Rica. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. There's a Starbucks a minute's walk up the street, a supermarket just a bit further as well as a number of sodas and restaurants in the neighbourhood. It's an easy 15-20 minute walk to downtown, but it's...

Stayed 2 nights at the start of a 2 week tour of Costa Rica and 1 night at the end. It is in a nice location and the rooms pleasant, but dated. The biggest issue is there is NO food or drink available - apart from a cold water filter in reception and breakfast! We could not get a coffee...

We'd been allocated a room at Le Bergerac to start and end our trip to Costa Rica, and this was an ideal suggestion. On our arrival we were given a ground floor room with a tiny little secret garden - perfect for sitting and enjoying the last of the sunshine. At the end of our holiday we returned for one...

Room was clean, shower was hot (took a bit for hot water to come) and staff were helpful and friendly. I was in a room near the street and it was quite loud, but bed was comfy and slept well. I'm not an expert on San Jose or its attractions, so can't comment on its location except to say was...

The theme is Cyrano de Bergerac and there are lovely touches throughout. Paintings posters and even a beautiful stained glass window . Rooms are comfortable spacious and clean and...

I stayed here for 4 nights as part of, and at the end of, a tour. Each room I had was spacious and comfortable, especially the last one which lead out into a very pretty garden. There is a little passing traffic but it is very quiet at night time. The staff are super helpful and friendly. I didn't eat...

We stayed here for 3 nights in January. Pros: hotel situated in quiet suburban area with a supermarket and several restaurants within a short, safe, walk. It is 30 mins walk into the city centre. Rooms were adequate sized and clean. Ok breakfast was cooked to order (waitress service). All staff were friendly. Cons: room 24 had access to a...

Positives - Helpful staff - Well appointed and simple - Beautiful gardens with some rooms having little secret patio / garden - Lovely breakfast consisting of coffee, plate of fresh fruit, toast and jam and then rice / eggs and fried plantain. Only slight negative was that we could hear the fountain all night from room 16. Didn't bother me...

We stayed here at the end of a tour. The room was clean and comfortable and WiFi worked well in the rooms. The only down fall was my shower was cold at night and in the morning. Hotel felt safe and close to Star Bucks.
