We stayed here for two nights recently as part of an Intrepid Travel tour of Costa Rica, and (unlike a lot of recent reviewers) found it to be absolutely fine - given this is Central America and therefore not to Western European/North American standards. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, tidy and big enough for...

Pros: air con, coffee, nice people, convenient location. Cons: needs upgrade. Lots of dirty corners and ceilings, sink and fixtures were falling off the wall. We also had the room that shared a window with yue reception so it was good we brought earplugs!

We stayed here with a tour group so I don't know the price but it is a two star hotel that needs some maintenance. Showers only worked intermittently and the a/c unit dripped water on my head so we couldn't have it on at night. There is a nightclub across the road which is very noisy. On the upside, it...

If you feel nostalgic about the 1970s this is the place for you: green bathroom suites, green curtains and bright neon light in the room. Of all hotels on this trip, this wAs the worst. I was given a room on the ground floor opposite the reception. I quickly realised that this was a room where one would hear not...

Open the door to a quasi-sewer/mold/moisture smell only to find it worse after we turned on the AC. Sink faucet broke as we turned it on. Bed was literally ungodly...my wife slept in the hole side whilst I perched on some broken spring assembly on my side. Shower would not drain (and I'm not keen on stepping into old shower...

We stayed 2 nights as part of a tour group. Room on ground floor with huge window looking over the reception area and the exhaust pipes of the cars parked right outside. Had to keep Curtains shut as result. Toilet overflowed twice. AC was on but ineffective. Beds (twin) were lumpy and hard. Sink and toilet came away from wall....

Stayed as part of a tour group so not sure of the price we paid but imagine it was over. Room was small and the air con unit looked very old. The switch on the unit was stuck so we only had a very cold option. It was an extremely noisy hotel. The air con was like a motor in...

This isn't a fancy hotel. The shower was cold, and the room could have been a bit cleaner. BUT the A/C worked. The room had a small balcony attached, which was nice. There is free coffee downstairs. And the hotel is conveniently located near the bus terminal for easy access to Manuel Antonio, beaches, or longer trips within Costa Rica....

This place is alright, I guess. There's no option to have breakfast included, so you'll have to go down the street to the restaurant to eat breakfast anyways. The room we had, it started leaking through the roof when it was raining... so that's not good. When we asked the reception for a good place to go out at night,...

Poor hotel in many ways. It is handy for the bus station (315c to Manual Antonia every 15 mins) (taxi $10), shops and limited quality eating places. It offers poor but free coffee. Meanwhile. We had no hot water in the shower the entirety of the two nights we were there. There was what appeared a brand new aircon unit...
