The staff was friendly and courteous. Our bathroom was as large as our room and had an open roof so you could hear all the great jungle sounds. We had hot water in the shower, mosquito nets over the beds, electricity to plug in our devices and 2 room fans. All of which, we did not realize were jungle lodge...

We stayed as part of one of Danta's packages. We also stayed at La Leona. It is worth reading my review of La Leona too if you plan on doing the same, as La Leona couldn't easily offer any water-based activities, despite Danta advertising that they can - which was a shame for us, as that was one of the...

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Danta Corcovado Lodge. It was an easy drive on paved roads and when we got into town, the short drive on the dirt road to the lodge was very well marked. We were greeted by David as soon as we pulled up and were made to feel welcome immediately and showed us...

A beautiful lodge that balances design and luxury with nature and seclusion almost perfectly. The staff and owner are extremely helpful and know the area well if you have any questions. Definitely recommend.

We totally enjoyed our 3-night stay at Danta. The basics were all covered (totally clean, friendly staff) but so much more! The staff really went beyond the call to make us feel comfortable. We were interested in birdwatching, so had signed up for the birding package with Danta and Saladero (highly recommend this package, since transfer between the two lodges...

We were advised by our travel company to spend 3 nights here ~ we felt 2 nights would have been adequate. Our lodge was round with very rustic furniture and the bathroom was outside ( although not overlooked!) The grounds were vast and organised bird watching early morning walks could be arranged. Breakfast and evening meals were adequate. There wasn't...

We spent 2 weeks in Costa Rica, stayed in 7 different locations and this was our favourite. The bungalows are well thought out and spacious. We had bungalow Salterin which was about 100 metres from reception and the second closest. It was surrounded by jungle and no need to pull the curtains for privacy. The netting surrounding the bungalow was...

Great location , we stayed in one of the wonderful bungalows set in the jungle, waking up to nothing but bird and monkey calls. The food was exceptionally good and the local staff first class. Can't recommend this lodge enough. Local wildlife - 3 toed sloths, toucans, frogs and more. We particularly liked our outdoor bathroom.

While the Danta facility is decent, their cancellation policy is the worst I've ever experienced, anywhere. We booked a three night stay and told the employees we needed to move on after our first night because the local national park was closed due to a recent hurricane. Visiting the local park was the primary reason we booked the spot in...

Merlyn has created this exquisite lodge by building it himself and hiring only the best staff. Stayed in the Chirincoco bungalow that overlooked a stream populated by toucans and monkeys. Fell asleep to the soothing sounds of the jungle. The bathroom was huge and amazing, the top was open yet private, and had hot water. The meals were delicious with...
