The place was fine. Cute, small rooms. Good for a short layover on the way out to Corcovado but its really not where it says it is on the map (at least on booking.com). We booked it because we had baggage and that was the main reason for the choice, pretty damn inconvenient as we hauled our bags back to...

I stayed at "El Perezoso" for one night for which it was just great. Omar, the owner, is very welcoming and friendly and showed me his frog garden which really is quite impressive. Also he way happy to give me advice wherde to go in Puerto Jimenez. The room was rather small but sufficient for one night.

When my bus arrived at night, in a town I'd never been in, I was worried about finding my hostel. Omar the Italian owner was waiting at the bus stop to escort me to his cabinas. When it was time to go to the Bella Horizonte Hostel, he arranged for me to get a ride there. He really cares about...

Omar, the owner was really friendly and knows a lot about everything in the area ! Rooms are simple, but it has everything you need and he'll be happy to store your luggage while you're trekking in Corcovado. Be sure to ask Omar for a coconut, he'll be happy to open it for you :)

Stayed here for a couple days at the tail end of summer 2013 during a backpacking trip right before (and after) a stint in Corcovado. Omar (the owner) is a great guy and very knowledgable about the area and gave us tons of tips, not to mention was very easy to work with due to our atypical situation (one extra...

Cabinas El Perezoso is a couple blocks down from the main street. It's simple but there's a kitchen you can use, the mattress was good, the place was clean and it's cheap $10. Cold water shower. No wi-fi. Omar, the owner, is a lovely guy, super friendly and helpful. I'd stay there again if I was in Puerto Jimenez again....

“There are really only a couple rooms because it is more a guesthouse not really a typical hostel... a bit rustic (cold water, a few bugs here and there) but what do you expect, the whole town's practically in the middle of the rainforest... which we thought was awesome. Get up early and watch the scarlet macaws and ibises flying overhead and you will know what we mean.”
