My 20 year old daughter and I enjoyed our stay at Cabinas Jimenez. The staff was very helpful and kind, especially Lia. We went out in the kayaks and saw dolphins near the pier. The bikes were handy for getting around town even though town is a short walk away. Nice views across of the Golfo Dulse. The rooms have...

Had a great stay 2 nights here. Quiet, clean rooms. Loved Ann on the front desk, has a wealth of knowledge. Just ask her. We booked Rooms 8 & 9 ground floor, excellent place to get around from. Sunshine morning coffee on our porch. Great place to watch the sunset with a glass of wine! Room's cleaned everyday. Breakfast in...

We spent 2 weeks here... great relaxing time. All the fun things to do, biking and kayaking included free. But the real high-light was there boat tour across the Gulfo Dulce seeing all the dolphins, fish, turtles, birds and monkeys. Snorkeling was great too over small reefs in shallow clear water filled with fish. The hotel has the best views...

My wife and I and our two teenage kids along with two other families stayed at Cabinas Jimenez just this past week and thought it was helpful to share our experience hoping to help others. We stayed in the Rancho top floor suite which is important because I don't think all the rooms have the same experience. I would have...

Thank you for mentioning " the good stuff " in your review. The free use of the Kayaks, the close location of the Hotel to the town and the boat tour. Now, in regards to the bad.. Yes, there is a sign on the door that states.." please make sure that your door is closed at night " . There...

We enjoyed 3 nights in two different waterfront cabins (#15 and #2) while exploring the area and Corcovado. Puerto Jimenez is a good, affordable base for exploring the region. The uniquely built and spacious private waterfront terraces were the real highlight here which we made good use of. Just sitting out quietly at different times of day (especially in Cabina...

We arrived after a nine hour bus ride from San Jose in a heavy downpour. It was lovely to be greeted by Ann in reception with a big smile and friendly attitude. We arranged dolphin tour and saw lots! We went out on kayaks which are free and spent the morning in the mangroves. We also used the local airport...

What wonderful staff, especially the receptionist ! We stayed during the tricky travelling period around hurricane Otto time, when the local airport was closed. The owner, John, kindly emailed us in advance to warn us, and was very accommodating about our shortened stay. The receptionist, Leah?,spent time on the phone before advising us clearly of our travel option to return to San...

We turned up here wet and bedraggled from the weather event that hit the Osa in Nov. The hotel was so incredibly helpful and could not have done more to help us. The room we had was one of their top ones and we loved it - very spacious and comfortable with an outside kitchen. The room/s were very clean...

I stayed here for a week in October. Got upgraded to one of the rooms with a patio and outside kitchen. It was great! It felt a bit like " home from home" and I felt totally safe and looked after. Had a great massage, highly recommended.

Unfortunately we were robbed on our first night as we slept. We had left the patio door open for fresh air and someone came in and stole the cell phone from the night stand. Everything else was great and as expected for the price. I would recommend staying here, just wanted to give a reminder not to let your guard...

My staff and I were very troubled to hear what happened. Words can not be expressed enough to say how bad we felt about it. Unfortunately, the incident gives the town of Puerto Jimenez a bad reputation of not being a safe place to go, which isn't the case. I have also bought wireless camera's. Again, I apologize for what...
