This is a lengthy one, but necessary. I read a review of a guest who was there a couple of weeks prior to our trip and was a little worried about the fishing. This worry was relieved within the first five minutes of fishing! I took a friend and coworker to celebrate his 79th birthday along with another longtime friend....

My family and I spent a week here in March. I echo all the positive reviews regarding the wonderful staff - Truly the highlight of our time there. They treated our four children with such patience and kindness, mixing them endless mango smoothies and limonadas. The off-shore fishing was great with my husband and kiddos catching many sailfish and a...

I would agree with many of the reivews. The staff was awesome, fishing boats, tackle in very good condition. Fishing was not great when we were there but better than other trips we had taken. The spa was a super pleasant surprise. Room was large, clean but very dated especially for the price. Guides however were outstanding. Very pleased with...

We're not the typical visitor to Crocodile Bay. We had stayed at an ecolodge before arriving here and were looking for some respite from the heat. We're not that into fishing. After staying in an open air place, teaming with wildlife, this place felt very sterile and too American. The staff was extremely accommodating, the food was good, but the...

We spent a week here in February and absolutely loved it. We came away with incredible memories and had a great time but the place is not without its flaws. We had a really nice room on the first floor near the entrance. The bedroom was lovely, polished wood floor and ceiling, aircon was perfect, macaws in the beach almond...

This is primarily a fishing experience. I expected a huge number and variety of fish including sailfish, mahi, marlin, grouper, snapper, rooster. I fished four straight days. The first and only onshore day, I got two small roosters and a small jack crevalle all by 10 AM, and then nothing after that. The next three days I went offshore for...

Cliff- Thank you very much for your honest review. It is very uncharacteristic of the area to have such a poor bite especially for so many consecutive days and I sincerely appreciate you acknowledging that all the other employees and departments succeeded in providing a high quality product even when the fish were not cooperating. The fact that you took...

This is a service oriented resort. Most times they had already taken care of things before I thought of it . The food is included and well prepared and the menu had a good variety. I fished - inshore was slow but off shore was best I've ever seen (my husband fished many days :) and did an eco tour,...

The people of Costa Rica are wonderful. The rooms and common areas are cleaner than most 5 star hotels but the furnishings and accomodations are modest and worn. The fishing captains and mates work their tails off to put you on fish. The organization of this hotel is focused, precise and effective.

I can't say enough about the staff at Crocodile Bay!!! So accommodating to all your needs. First and foremost it's a fishing resort but also offers activities for people not interested in fishing every day. The Eco tours were awesome. The guides are so informative. The grounds are filled with monkeys, macaws, green parrots, and many other kinds of birds....

We continue to enjoy the gracious service; welcoming atmosphere; comfortable, clean, cool AC rooms; amazing fishing / spa /eco tour offerings and warm, friendly attitude of this special place. These folks are like family - this was our 10th visit. As usual (and despite an El Nino season) fishing both inshore and offshore exceeded expectations. Many sails along with a...
