The grounds are beautiful and simple not too many bells and whistles. It couldn't be better situated with the beach and rainforest nearby and a lappool and several spots to nap and read. The food was very delicious and lovingly prepared.

Probably better to think about flying in the day before, finding a place in Alajuela and then heading back to the airport the next day. It is only a few minutes from the airport - less than $10 by Uber or taxi - and there are lots of AirBnBs.
If you want to see San Jose, it is about 15 minutes drive with no traffic... or a "are you kidding me!" if there is traffic. :)
