My wife and I stayed here beginning of December. This was the last stop on a 3 week tour of Costa Rica and it was a nice way to end our trip (we flew back to San Jose). We dropped our rental car (rented from Toyota) in Puerto Jimenez who drove us for free to the hotel (45-60 minutes). If...

Wanting to go to Costa Rica for many years finally led to a long search of places to stay. Are we thrilled to have chosen El Remano as a destination. We heard about the Osa Peninsula from a Tico during a previous vacation to Costa Rica. He spoke of it with so much enthusiasm… it was contagious. So began the journey… The El Remanso Rainforest and Wildlife Lodge seemed like a perfect fit for us. We contacted Gabby (Reservations) and after many emails we sorted out the logistics. We choose...

My husband and I stayed at El Remanso for 3 nights in early January. It was the perfect blend of nature and luxury. I've had the good fortune of having stayed at some really nice hotels e.g. the Four Seasons and the St. Regis and El Remanso felt like the rainforest's equivalent! There were a few reviewers who said they...

There are no words to describe but "perfection". We were met at the airport with a welcoming smile and immediately started our great adventure. The road to El Remanso is an experience that words and pictures can not capture- dirt and bumpy just don't do it. Every day brought new awe inspiring experiences- I think we made it up to 56...

Fabulous place, excellently run and the staff appear happy under the Leadership of lovely Adriana and her husband Daniel. Genuine, warm people who went out of their way to ensure your stay was of the best. They have a real sustainable philosophy, it's not talk, it's action. Having travelled for about 19 days around Costa Rica we probably left the...

My best friend and I stayed at El Remanso for a week in January. Admittedly, it was the most expensive place I've stayed but totally worth the price. We met amazing fellow travelers, and experienced Costa Rica exactly as I had hoped: with no technology, electronics or other distractions. So many once-in-a-lifetime memories from this trip. I hope to go...

The food, property, hiking, staff, massages, views, beaches, pool and wildlife are all top notch. I wanted a mix of adventure and luxury and El Remanso delivered. Wonderful setting, great views, superb service at this eco lodge. It is a bit pricy, but the well run place is worth the money, they have an excellent guide there for all the activities on their own property (zip lining, night-walks, guided walks) and their walkways are very nice and well maintained. We've seen many animals just right at our...
