What a great place, can't fault it at all. We were a family of 4 with 8 and 6 year old and had the most amazing time there. Lots of wildlife and tours to go plus amazing lagoon on the beach. Kids learnt so much from the guides on the guided hikes. Food and service was excellent and everyone was...

This is one of the best hotels and area I have visited. The wildlife is abundant. You can take many excursions with a guide and see wonderful birds and smaller creatures such as frogs and other critters. You can walk on many trails but it is a good idea to get your bearings first with a guide. The trek down...

We've been here three times, and I can't say enough to recommend it. It is an eco-lodge that caters to relatively small groups of people. For people wanting to really experience a facility that it totally committed to sustainability in a way that benefits the people who live here, this is the place to go. Daniel and Adriana are the...

This was our third trip to Costa Rica, a country we love very much. Each time we have stayed in new places. Except that we always return to El Remanso. The howlers are always the loudest and most visible. We have seen numerous toucans and each time we have spotted several pairs of macaws in addition to many other types...

We have just returned from our 4th visit to El Remanso Lodge, and it has never failed to delight us. El Remanso is in the middle of the rain forest, with many activities for all levels, including hiking trails, waterfall rappelling, and bird watching. However, if you want to have peace and quiet, it is definitely the place to be....

We had an amazing time at El Remanso, right in the middle of the rain forest. There are several trails aroiund the property, and some steep paths down to the beach. Unfortunately you can't swim in the Pacific because of strong rip tides, but there is a saltwater lagoon just along the beach for safe swimming. The staff were so...

This lodge is very remote and rustic. If you are adventurous and in good health its for you but..We were 4 friends in late 60's and early 70's and probably weren't adequately prepared for this property. We stayed in a classic cabin , which was large and roomy. We knew what to expect. Luckily, ours was near the main "building"...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your stay with us. We appreciate your positive comments regarding your bungalow, our staff, the quality of the tours and the common areas of the lodge. We are however saddened to read that your stay fell short of your expectations, due mainly to the remoteness of the property. We...

We absolutely loved our stay at El Remanso. Gorgeous, secluded property in the middle of the rain forest. We traveled with our 8 year old and 11 year old kids and signed up for the "active" package. All of our guides were affable and knowledgeable and gave our family an amazing educational and delightful experience. The staff at El Remanso...

From start to finish, our whole experience at El Remanso was wonderful. The cheery staff who picked us up at the airport along with other staff we met at the lodge gave us a warm welcome and a preview of the incredibly personable service that we would receive throughout our stay with them. Within the first half day, those staff...

We splurged ourselves to three nights at El Remanso in the beginning of our three week Costa Rica tour, and that was an excellent decision. Everything is lovely about this place. Beautiful rooms, we spent two nights in Bajamar and the last night in Caramba. Caramba had an outdoor shower larger than some of the rooms we have stayed in...
