Hotel Aurora looked very promising on booking.com and their website. When we arrived we saw there was a special offer for walk-ins (so making a reservation meant we were paying $10 more per night for no particular reason), and that both hot water and AC cost extra. Hot water we didn't mind as it was so hot the cold option...

Wow, dodged a bullet by not staying here. Saw them advertised on air BNB, but reviews said to book in person as it was cheaper. Got there, the front desk was rude not only to me, but two other customers in the lobby. They laughed in a young backpackers' face when he asked if they had dorms available. 'What, does...

Hotel Aurora has a great location in Montezuma and is just 100 meters away from the beach that also has good snorkeling. Restaurants, stores, the bus station, & waterfall entrance are all nearby too! We spent three nights & visited Cabo Blanco as well, but you could easily spend more time to relax. There are a few room configurations with...

We stayed here for 4 nights in Jan in a room with a/c (much needed after a day at the beach!) Staff were friendly, kitchen area was moderately well equipped. The room however was tiny, which with our massive rucksacks left us climbing over everything to get to the bathroom. We saw there were a number of larger rooms left...

Aurora is clean and made of concrete, so it is cool. There is a communal kitchen that has all you need. Wifi is pretty good, especially in common areas. There are a range of rooms and you can add A/C and hot water. For low season, we paid $45 for a room with A/C and hot water and were more...

This is a neat property, with a fun and somewhat quirky assemblage of rooms over three floors. We also had some issues with staff "attitude" from one of the two young women who worked in the reception. We had to eventually involve the owner who made us quite happy in the end. So I would recommend the property. Don't let...

I stayed one night here in Hotel Aurora after having the previous night next door at Hotel Tajalin. The receptionists didn't speak any English, so we had a minor language barrier. I know basic Spanish, but they didn't understand me so I was unable to book any buses or tours through them. They were also extremely rude when a friend...

I wish we would've had more time to visit the Hotel Aurora & restaurant. But we had a lovely breakfast outside on their patio! The foliage was beautiful and the "typico" was delicious! Definitely hope to come back another time.

We planned to stay 1 night but ended up staying 4 because it was so nice in Montezuma. The hotel offers everything you need. You have your own coffee in your room, the kitchen was clean and the beach is very close. The people working at the reception were more than friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome...
