I led my first Yoga retreat to Manuel Antonio the first week of April and stay at Paseo del Mar. I booked the entire complex- 5 apartments for 8 of us. It was PERFECT. I stayed in the pool house, the smallest unit and loved it. The shower pressure was great, the bed super comfy and the kitchenette was so...

We stayed here for a week in the middle of March 2017. The top floor apartment was large, clean, and comfortable, with the forest right outside the balcony. We woke up to howler monkeys every morning, and were visited by white-faced, howler, and squirrel monkeys during the day. The pool is amazing, and we had it to ourselves the entire...

We reserved this thru Los Altos but these properties have no support from Los altos. Needed taxi to get back to Los Altos. No maid service . No on site support. Otherwise, very quiet and nicely appointed w/AC and kitchen.

On its own, El Paseo would struggle to pass above average. However, it is now a sister property to Los Altos, an impressive 5* resort nearby. Consequently, El Paseo guests are allowed to use Los Altos facilities which include an impressive swimming pool and a spa, a gym, a restaurant, a private beach and a concierge. The rating,I gave above,...

We stayed in the "pool house" studio. This is a lovely little one bed apartment with kitchen and sitting area and private deck. We sat outside and watched white faced and howler monkeys. There is also a pool area for this 5 room gated complex. The famous Manuel Antonio beaches are within a ten minute walk down a steep 4WD...

We stayed at Paseo del Mar for a month in Feb/March 2016 and were totally impressed with our accomodations. It is a smaller condo complex of 4 units nestled in the rainforest and within walking distance to the main MA road. The units are spacious and very comfortable with daily housekeeping service - our condo had a balcony overlooking the...

My husband and I booked a rather last-minute New Year's trip to Costa Rica and were scrambling to find hotel availability. We got incredibly lucky when Chuck wrote back right away to let us know Unit B was available on our dates. Thanks to Chuck's responsiveness over email, booking was quick and easy. We arrived at El Paseo Del Mar...

In Walking distance up the road to great restaurants like Emilio's Cafe and Agua Azul, and some great little shops. The pool is always there at...

Charles Quindlen, the owner and caretaker of this property provided us with exceptional care and service during our 5 night stay at El Pasea del Mar. First, the apartment (larger than most American hotel suites) was well equipped and offered us rain forest living complete with monkeys and lush views out our windows. Morning coffee on the patio with the...

My husband and I stayed for 10 days. Within a few minutes of our arrival and meeting the owner Chuck offered to drive us to the local market. That set the tone for our wonderful stay in Quepos. Each day was a new adventure involving monkeys around the pool, howlers at night and even a Jesus Christ lizard outside our...
