We are return guests of Villas Nicolas' and each stay seems to surpass the last. This small, tasteful little condo hotel has evolved over the years (we first went there 16 years ago) .At that time, aircon was a luxury,as were phones in the rooms, not to mention wifi ! Now they have all three ! The continual upgrades in decor...

As a hospitality leader myself, I am the most corteous as well as forgiving person when I travel, dine, etc. However, when the philosophy of the person running this facility is "Read the signs" or "Here are the rules" and there is zero financial impact nor major inconvenience, it is my duty to recommend to the actual owners of this...

It had a pool and a restaurant with breakfast included. Our room was huge and had a patio and a hammock. Comment from my son: "There was cute geckos all over the place, which helped eat the mosquitos ." We saw a sloth hanging out on a tree from our patio. Really nice pool, too. Only downside was the numerous...

I was disappointed by Costa Rica in general but enjoyed my weekend in the rainforest at Nicholas Villas. We stayed in room 6 which is one of the best outfitted apartments I have ever seen ( and I worked in hotels for over 25 years)!! However the cats were a nuisance and there is a musty smell in the room....

Our ocean view was remarkable. Loved spending time reading on the balcony. For that reason alone, I couldn't give them anything less than 3 stars. However, I would think twice before staying at Villas Nicolas. My biggest complaints: #1- Shady Business: They initially claimed that the room type we were interested in was available, but not at the discounted price,...

We are a very small property and we advertise that our " specials" are subject to availabilty and are in select rooms only. The walk in special that is referred to here is offered in our smallest room of which we have only 2 !

We did not stayat the hotel. I could not find a way to review the restaurant seperately. It was a recommended to us by a lovely canadian woman who works at a great shop near the bank. The blackened tuna was incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. My family loved their meals as well and the service was great.

First I have to say the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Nice quaint boutique hotel and very reasonably priced. The only 2 complaints I had was the bed smelled a little musty. I think it is because of the humidity and they don't turn on AC in room until people rent it. Second their is no TV. I thought...

We stayed in a 2-room suite, nice and roomy for three people (#11). I loved the balcony (and hammock) with a view of the ocean and jungle. The two wooded, arched doorways that opened to the balcony were a nice touch. We could hear the ocean as we sat on the balcony, but also enjoyed all the monkeys and the...

Wow! What a great place. Our huge room (nr 3) was big with kithen, a very big terrace with ocean view, a living room, a nice bedroom and a good bathroom. The style of the house was very nice, we felt home soon. The room was very pricey, but because of the low season we could make it a bit...

My husband and I spent two nights at Villas Nicolas, and of all the places we stayed while in Costa Rica, we most wish we could go back to Villas Nicolas! While it was the most expensive place we stayed, it was absolutely amazing. We had Villa #3 up, which had a gorgeous view of the ocean and the treetops....
