Don't let the journey discourage you from missing this great experience. Friendly staff, quaint rooms and surrounded by jungle. Onsite restaurant and bar put this destination on top. Whether. You spend the night or stay for a week you will not be disappointed.

The owners and staff of Tres Banderas took great care of us at every turn. Whether is was looking into an activity for the day, suggesting the best places we could go in the area, or just hanging out at the hotel, their kindness and generosity and real interest in our well being was on full display. The rooms, the... More

This was the perfect spot to stay with easy access to Manuel Antonio and Quepos. We even did a day trip to Dominical and Uvita. The room was exactly what we needed for our family trip: Two doubles and a single. The food in the restaurant was delicious and staff was very helpful.

Nice staff but not overly friendly. Dated but reasonably clean rooms. Fair value for the area. Nice pool and terrace areas. Balcony with nice jungle view. Good secure parking. Included breakfast not as good as some. Average at best. Easy to find

My husband and I spent the second half of our honeymoon here and it was great. The staff was wonderful and very helpful getting to know the area. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The restaurant - Gondola - was fantastic and the chef was friendly and amazing (and for those who are gluten free he makes... More

This is a basic hotel, whilst it is clean and affordable the service is nothing compared with what you usually get in Costa Rica. During our time in Costa Rica the highlight was the friendly, fantastic service of the Ticos-we felt so welcomed and loved and it really added to our holiday. But at this hotel I felt very reluctant... More

We stayed at the Tres Banderas for three nights upon the recommendation of a tourist information chap in Samara. It is interesting to now read the reviews on trip advisor and to see the varied reviews! We would fully support the strong reviews - the accommodation is comfortable and nicely arranged around a communal pool. The balcony at the rear... More

We stumbled upon this hotel on our one night in Manuel Antonio, and were quickly lured in by the affordable price. We were, however, charged extra money to have more than two people staying in the room. When we first arrived, the bartender refused to give us any ice to bring to the room without charging us, so we dealt... More

I was almost put off by some of the negative reviews but was so glad I ignored them. I met up with my 24 year daughter for a weeks holiday in the middle of her South American travels and this was the best place to be. We got there easily and cheaply by bus from San Jose and were greeted... More

First, they wanted full payment at check-in, which was the only place to do this. After checking in, we killed a couple spiders on the walls. No big deal; we are in rural area. When we turned the sheets down, there was a spider in the sheets. Upon closer inspection, we found several hairs on the sheets. We refused to... More

Hello, Wow I was surprised by the comment, we never deny service and we would have been very helpful if you wanted to change the sheets of the bed. Sorry for the spider we do our best considering our surroundings. I'm sad you wouldn't stay at least one night to enjoy the hotel experience. Hope you had a good trip.... More
