We had a great stay here! It's very clean and they were making improvements all the time, freshly painted areas, comfortable bed. We had a private room, the staff are very helpful and friendly, and bonus breakfast included! The pool is great. Also there was a very friendly young sloth in a tree right in front of the kitchen dining...

We really enjoyed our stay, we even extended our stay twice. The Hostel is very, very clean, they even clean the dorm rooms. The kitchen is outside and big, although some things like oil are missing. The community is great there and the people working there are nice. Breakfast is also included - amazing pancakes! And there's a pool, real...

I stayed at Backpackers in November for a few nights and found them very nice and easy to work with. I had a private room which had a queen bottom bunk and a twin top bunk bed. Beautiful view of the jungle from the back porch of the hostel. Bathroom was shared between 4 private rooms. Staff all speak pretty...

Backpackers Manuel Antonio was recommended by friends and we weren't disappointed! The dorms are clean and quit big. The outside kitchen is just so nice as it's in this big terrace where you can eat and chill on the coaches! And the view is amazing! And, breakfast is included! Further down the hostel, you have the pool (open 24 hours,...

I had a great stay at the Backpackers Manuel Antonio, it has a great location on top of a hill, with the town on one side and the national park with the beaches on the other side. The staff is really friendly and helpful!

I have stayed at this hostel several times over the last couple years and have recommended the hostel to anyone I know visiting the area. It is in a good area between the beach and Quepos, right next to a bus stop and across from two grocery stores. There is plenty of wildlife to see if you're sitting out in...

Cons: Staff were cold, somewhat rude and not very helpful. They make you feel like you're inconveniencing them when you ask them a question or need something from them. I gave them some laundry when I checked in (at around noon) and later asked if it would be ready for me the next morning as I had to check out...

Rude staff (one guy kept switching from English to Spanish to throw you off so if you spoke in English he'd respond in Spanish and vice versa) and a pretty sorry property all in all. The bathrooms and showers are just four stalls all in a row, so there's absolutely no privacy (and they're DEFINITELY not clean). The breakfast is...

This was the worst hostel I stayed in so far in Costa Rica, incredibly loud and noisy at night although this could've been to do with the particular groups staying here at the time. Room was very hot at night and there was only one toilet and shower. Lots of insects too!
