Los Alemendros is quiet, cool, clean, and conveniently close (approx. 150 meters) to the National Park entrance in one direction and Manuel Antonio Village and the public beach, Beach 1, in the other. I am currently writting this review at the hotel. Compared to the reviews I have read earlier I think they have made some great improvements. The air is working great, the pool and hot tub are nice and the rooms are clean. I wish there were televisions and the wi-fi connection was better but when you are in paradise who...

We read about this place in Lonely Planet, however the book was written a few years before we arrived. Most of the review was inaccurate, as it was apparently not under the same ownership. Visited in June 2003. Casual atmosphere and extremely inexpensive- $35/night. Small, clean rooms with private bath. This is a perfect place for hikers, surfers, or travelers who don't want to rent a car. Everything is walking distance. The hotel is located at the end of the main road in Manuel Antonio, off the terminal bus stop. The closest city is...
