Exhillerating boat journey to get to Tortuguero 's Lodge for one and a half hours.Absolutely stunning ,scenery and met our lovely guide for the next two days Marco who was lovely. The individual lodges were great, only criticism was that the bathroom had nowhere to put anything but that was a small detail. We were woken early by the howler monkeys and...

We have stayed in Aninga Lodge for two nights and we thought it was wonderful! The hotel is located directly in the National Park of Tortugero. Therefore there is jungle all around. The bungalows/rooms were very clean and I particularly liked that there was no real wall but rather "windows" all around - they were well secured with mosquito nets....

We stayed here for 3 superb nights in January. Pros: Staff were all friendly and helpful. Rooms (individual chalets) are stunning - big, comfortable, simple furnishings, no glass in the windows, only net in the frames and curtains so you hear all of the wonderful wild life outside. Meals are buffet style and fine. Cons: none at all We loved...

Despite it being such a long journey to get there it was so worth it. Everything is arranged for you, food, tours, walks, boat trips. The guides are truly amazing, they spot things you wouldn't have a hope of seeing otherwise. There is so much bird and wildlife here. The lodges are basic but far better than I was led...

We stayed here for two nights during our stay in Tortuguero and we were very saticfied with the hotel. The cabin was what you could expect in the jungle, no AC or real windows and we heard the monkeys shouting in the night just outside our room. The food was good and the cabin nice and clean.

Aninga Lodge is the best jungle lodge in the Tortuguero area. Nice individual 'bungalows' with ceiling fan, screens, bathrooms with hot and cold running water , safety deposit box and rocking chairs on private terrace are all lovely touches . The staff is very professional and helpful. Pool area is one of the best and next door is the Spa...

We loved everything about it. Even the lack of windows, just the mosquito nets instead of glass. Every room is a separate little house, very rustic. The shower worked fine, even though the bathroom was tiny. So don't bring too much stuff! The breakfast and all other meals were very nice. The service was excellent. There is a path around...

I LOVED this location. Of course, all lodges must be accessed by boat through the canals. Aninga was lovely, clean, and very comfortable. I found the staff to be very nice and accommodating. What could be better than waking up to the Howler monkeys in the morning. The one comment, would be to request a hut away from the restaurant....

We arrived with the tour bus by a landing stage where we had to walk through mud onto the boat. Because of a hectic change of transport our shoe bags with 4 pairs of shoes some how got lost and where never found again. The hotel manager was also not very helpfull. The guide who said it was his fault...

An amazing eco-lodge located in Tortuguero National Park. The service was excellent and the actual lodges were amazing. They were clean and felt like like you were in a lost wilderness. They have a pool and bar area which is great for all ages. The food was always on point and staff always on hand to help you The only...
