We stayed here for 2 nights in October. The beach is a 5 minute walk and the night walk to see turtles laying eggs is also close by. They served really nice coffee all day and the staff were very helpful. Lots of cats, dogs and crabs running around in the garden which was really cute. the hammocks in front...

We spent 4 nights in Nehle's cabinas and it is so far one of the few places where we finally had the feeling to be off the touristic paths. The cabinas are simple but clean and each has a hammock which was more than appreciated :) The surrounding garden is very nice, the pets friendly, coffee free and unlimited and...

The attention from the owners is great.Place is always clean, you get your own bathroom and the location is great to get to the park or downtown. Spent a great time here, would come back without a thought.

We booked Cabinas Tortuguero for our two nights stay in Tortuguero. Hostel staff were very helpful in booking tours and excursions. Located right next to the dock, it is a very short walk to get to any destination in the town. Toucans often land in trees on the property and provide some excellent photos. Leaky sink, ants and lots of...

We stayed at Cabinas Tortuguro in November. Rooms are basic but very clean. Each room has its own hammock on the veranda, overlooking the lovely garden. So pretty! Owners are super friendly, cannot recommend this place enough!

We spent new years eve here, so maybe I don't have the best view of this place/location. But the hostel is really nice, clean rooms with private bathrooms incl hot water. There is free coffee and a nice place to hang out (and play with the cats and dogs). However the location is great, very central and close to everything,...

Nice hammock just in front of our bedroom! The bedroom is not really isolated but you have a ventilator and a private bathroom(wich is small but has a shower with hot water!). It's near to the center and the national park. From here you can also book tours in tortuguero with the helpful personal of the hostel. Free coffee but...

The hostess is possibly the most useful that I have come across, able to speak German, English and Spanish, she is very willing to help you plan your trip. The rooms are small but comfortable with an ensuite and each has a hammock on the porch outside. Free coffee all day and wifi. As with most of Central America in...

This place is quite close from the airport, is $10 watertaxi per person unless you are good negotiating with the watertaxi drivers (we were 3, and got a $20 price for all of us), also is in a very good location: vlose to the supermarkets, small restaurants, beach and national park. The place is very rustic, but every room have...

We just spent 2 nights here. We were looking to stay in amongst the hassle and bustle of the town rather than a more expensive lodge. This place is perfect if you are on a budget and just want a chilled out place to crash whilst being on top of everything. 100m from the main dock, 200m from the beach...
