We stayed one week in this hotel. Rooms are clean and nice...At night, we could hear noise of munkeys...A bit wild enviroment...but an exciting experience The pool was well maintained... Breakfast menu was rich.... The wifi works very well and it is free It is 10 minutes walk to the beach... No beach view but you can observe animals in...

The advertising photos are very deceiving, the rooms are extremely overpriced, and the service was lackluster. Albert, the owner, cannot speak English and becomes irate if one forgets, and any concerns regarding costs are met with irrationally offensive behavior. After a couple of nights, we located better accommodations down the road and much nearer to the beach, for the remainder...

Where do I start with this place upon arrival we saw the owner laying down on the hammock playing with his phone he quickly went into the office when he saw us. We went into the reception and he didn't even greet us he just looked at us with a blank stare and asked for our travel voucher...I was so...

The hotel is quite small and just has a very old and neglected feel, rooms are ok but were filled with ants and lacked basic stuff like mini fridge and a working safe. Breakfast was very lacking and everything there just looked old and like it had been standing out for a while. We booked through the phone this hotel for...

Decided to stay in somewhere a bit nicer than my normal hostels for New Year in Puerto Viejo. Basically this place is OK but nothing stood out and it is quite expensive in comparison to other places. The room was wooden with a good balcony overlooking the forest, but was too small- nowhere to put two open bags without falling...

We've stayed three nights at this hotel during our three week trip through Costa Rica, and we have to say that this was our poorest stay. Although the hotel has a lot of potential, the way we were treated and the poor maintenance of the place gave us an overall negative feeling of the place. When we arrived, we were...

WE stayed here for our honeymoon and the service was great, manager was always willing to help with any little thing you needed. Breakfast had a lot of choices, not just your regular continental one. You can walk to the beach which was a plus. Pool and jacuzzi was a plus. Cabins are comfortable and views of the jungle are...

The manager at the hotel was always around the common areas, asking everyone if they needed anything else to make their stay even more enjoyable. Very pleasant staff and service, and the views and sounds of the jungle are very calming. Not to mention that you're practically across the street from the beach!

We stayed at this hotel about 4 years ago when it was named Hotel Buganvilla and it had a distinctively european feel.....crisp, well maintained, competent staff....owned by Italians I believe. We recently stayed on March 17 & 18, 2015 and the hotel has deteriorated significantly since our first stay.....lots of deferred maintenance in the public areas, the reception office is...

Please do not stay here. We had an absolutely awful experience when we stayed in January this year!! Be warned. We were on a GAdventures trip (apparently this isn't the usual hotel that GAdventures usually use but there was a festival on at the same time in town and the usual central hotel was fully booked). Whilst the actual place...
