We booked this resort last minute trying to finalize our trip in Costa Rica. This was the more than we could have hoped for. The property is beautiful, the staff is amazing, the food is excellent and the jungle is everything you hope to experience in Costa Rica. We were sad that we only had three days to visit. I... More

A hidden gem. Will definitely return on our next trip to Limon. The staff is accommodating and friendly and the food is great. Especially the complimentary breakfast. There is a pool table in the bar area and I can't say enough about the lovely cabins. Clean, spacious and comfortable. The WiFi was a little sparse at the room but excellent... More

This is the first review I've ever written but I wanted to share our positive experience at Costa de Papito! My husband and I just returned from a lovely 3 night stay here. This place exceeded our expectations on all levels! The service was excellent. We did not have an existing reservation but we're looking to switch from another hotel... More

Very cool community of jungalows with the best food in town coming from the kitchen. Amazing meals, excellent people working there and in the bar. Jungle shacks could use some screens in the windows, and doors that don't lock just by being closed lol... Mosquito nets and fans were comfy enough for great sleep, quiet, very close to the beach,... If you are looking for a nice place to go with friends, or privacy with your couple this is the perfect place. It is more nature-surrounded than Puerto Viejo, and further from the night life of the town, but it is perfect if what you are looking for is peace of mind. My group and I stayed in the Budget... While this hotel is decent for Puerto Viejo standards, I feel that there could be some improvements given the mid-range price point and what similar accommodations offer. First of all I would like to say that the service was great, so this is just a review on the hotel itself and its amenities and not on the great service from... More

We purposefully leave 2 windows open without screen so that during the day the guests have an unfiltered view of our tropical garden surroundings and they feel completely connected. The idea was to close the open windows at night before going to bed when the temperature drops (there are blankets in the room) but not during the day .It seems... More

Great stay in the very nice bungalow. We were desperate to find a place to sleep as were supposed to stay in another place that was finally very dirty. Food at the restaurant was great too - just be careful as you need to add the taxes and the service fees. I would really recommend this place.

My husband and I stayed here again - along with multiple other family members - this time for his sister's wedding. They rented out multiple bungalows for friends and family, and utilized the hotel lobby/restaurant for the "rehearsal" dinner and the reception (the actual wedding was on the beach). As per every other time we've been here, it was fabulous.... More

I have to admit that Hotel La Costa de Papito has been a pleasant experience. Stayed there for approx 1 week and very much enjoyed cute, wooden bungalow surrounded by the beautiful gardens. Nature is all around. You can see it, hear it and smell it! Just great! Beach just across the street. We always walked to the beach via... More

La Costa de Papito provides spacious detached bungalow-style rooms with a surrounding outdoor patio, all under and surrounded by natural forest. The owner and all staff are very helpful and friendly, most speaking both Spanish and English. A large breakfast is included in the modest price and the restaurant serves some of the best dishes I have had in Costa... More
