I had the best visit and stay at the Moabi hotel in Puerto Viejo Talamanca it is quiet and clean in the middle of paradise. The owners and managers were very nice and attentive most important this place is very affordable for anyone on a budget. I highly recommend it.

Stayed 5 nights at Casa Moabi and felt really at home. It is a little far out from the main town but there is a lot of offer in the area and it's actually nice to be a little secluded in the jungle. It's easy to hire bikes or the owner will happily book you a taxi. My boyfriend unfortunately... More

We had a lovely stay in Casa Moabi. The owners/staff/volunteers are really friendly and help out with anything you need. We even got the bus to the national park with the newest volunteer :). They called cabs for us, let us use some cooking ingredients from the kitchen and generally made us feel at home. The $5 breakfast was impressive..... More

We had an amazing time at Casa Moabi. Our stay really felt like "mi casa es su casa" cause the hostess is making her guest feeling comfortable right away. She is fluently speaking English, French, Spanish and Norwegian, and is such a welcoming person. Our suite was really nice with comfortable beds with curtains around us, and no insight -... More

The location of Casa Moabi was perfect for us - part way between the main town of Puerto Viejo and Playa Manzanillo. It was very close (walking or cycling distance) to Playa Chiquita and Playa Puente Uva, which we thought were incredibly beautiful beaches! The accommodation is surrounded by lush greenery and the staff and management are very friendly. Their... More

The visit was very comfortable and relaxing. This had been our 25th anniversary vacation and the owner and staff were so very knowledgeable and helpful in day planning. They became our friends and we miss them.I would highly recommend staying at Casa Moabi while in the Caribbean area of Costa Rica.

This hotel is a good location between Puerto Viejo and Manzanillo, we cycled between the two places (roughly 7km to each, either direction) using the hotels cycles ($5 each for the day). It is walking distance to a secluded beach, where you have to walk through the jungle to get to (watch out for sand crabs). Our room was a... More

First off our hosts were absolutely amazing ...they were such friendly people and they were so very helpful. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. They also provided a yummy breakfast for a small charge. We were walking distance from the Jaguar Rescue Centre - which I highly recommend you visit as well. Our place was about a... More
