This place was great!! Has a relaxed atmosphere that combines nature and facilities all in one. We stayed in a doble room #4, the entire place was always clean and the staff had always a smile ready to help you. We surf and only 10 minute bike ride we had a world class brake (salsa brava), places to eat buy...

This hostel is excellent! Besides being very clean and comfy beds the staff and owner Braydon are awesome! I was only supposed to stay a couple of days but with a hurricane alert I extended my stay. The staff made sure everyone was safe and precautions taken in case the storm hit. Even after the storm cleared I decided to...

We stayed 6 nights in this hostel. Perfect for travelers on a tight budget. As we spent several nights we got a discount on the total price, only 8 dollars per night. Simple dormitories with clean sheets, towels and bathroom. It's located a bit out of the city center, but that only makes this place a more quite and tranquil...

I stayed here for a couple of nights, the beds were comfy in the dorms, but the whole place didn't feel clean at all. It has a really bad water system so the toilets didn't flush properly and the shower was a trickle of water. It looks like the owners are trying to renovate it so I'd wait a while...

Although it's right across the street from a nice beach, it's one of the worst hostels in Puerto viejo. We only stayed one night there and switched to another hostel. The rooms are very dirty, lots and lots of bugs and centipedes in the room, the toilets weren't very clean and the showers were terrible. Also, the water isn't drinkable...

The location of the Hostel is great, the most popular surf beach in Puerto Viejo called Playa Cocles is next to the Hostel. The place is pretty quiet but if you want to make party there is a Bar next to the Hostel, besides the centre of Puerto Viejo is only 2km far away. The Hostel is sorrounded by plams...

I was in town for a research project for over a week, first staying at Rockin Jay's because of the cost but quickly left after I realized I would never be able to sleep before 1 am. I found Mi Casa Hostel quietly hidden on my way to Playa Cocles which is located across the street. That being said, this...

The hostel is 2km from town, in front of the most popular surf beach Playa Cocles and next to Tasty Waves (great parties each tuesday). In town you don't find as much as animals as here. In the short time I have been here, I have seen sloths, agoutis, humming birds, wild chicken, loras and a lot of squirrels. Even...
