This is a lovely place to stay and in keeping with the ethos of the country which promotes eco tourism. One of the highlights of staying here was a troupe of capuchin monkeys passing through and jumping from tree to tree and huge leaps to the ground level bushes in an adjoining property. We regularly saw toucans, vultures, agoutis and green poison dart frogs. The beach was just a short walk and a taxi to town about 7$. The shop at the end of the track sold a very wide variety of goods. The food in the restaurant was lovely although we did get a bit fed up with the lack of variety at breakfast. Staff were always on hand and more than helpful. Spacious lodge and cool even of hot days which is why they are dark inside. There is plenty to hear in this jungle setting. Bed was as hard as a rock.

A quiet resort where you can enjoy the beach and the jungle. Cosy and very clean. The staff is very friendly. You can feel safe there in Covid 19 times. The owners gave us a warm welcome. The lodges are very pretty and well decorated, following the characyeristic of the place. They are big and sunny. Fantastic breakfast.

Accommodation in small lodges around the grounds with a small pool. The general feeling is that the place is a bit tired and in need of a bit of careThe room was very dark though spacious and there was room to sit outside although there was not much to look at when you did. The breakfast was good and the restaurant provided good food. The bar only opened at 5pm. There was a common room where fresh water was available (you couldn't drink the water in the rooms) as well as tea and coffee, although we could not make the machine for hot water work The staff were not very helpful; and could be difficult to locate on occasions. All in all an ok place but not brilliant

Thank you very much for your comments, Sue. We will keep you in mind to see what we can do better! Being a jungle lodge, and log cabins is a bit rustic the place, but we try to have the comforts of a resort in harmony with the jungle. We send you a greeting from all of us!

This is a really nice, quiet place, set back a little from the main road. All the rooms have wifi and all the rooms are freestanding units i.e. you're not neighbours with anyone. We stayed in two types of rooms here, first time in a deluxe room then next time in a standard room. The standard rooms are a bit further away from the restaurant and pool area and whilst there was nothing wrong with the standard rooms I would recommend getting a deluxe room ideally as the extra cash gives you a much bigger room. Both still have their own outside veranda to relax either in a hammock or chair, but the deluxe rooms are far bigger on the inside. The grounds themselves are set amongst lush vegetation, beautiful flowers and tall trees. Agouties, macaws, toucans, howler monkeys and alike are seen daily. There is a communal area where you can relax and drink tea and coffee all day. The staff in reception and the restaurant are very friendly. Jasmine was very helpful in reception. The rooms were clean and comfortable although the standard room we were in could use a slight upgrade, but was still nice. The general ambience is nice and quiet which we appreciated. The location is ideal as it just a comfortable distance back from the main road but still close enough to walk to the beach if so desired and there are some restaurants close by. The pool area was small but nice, surrounded by tall trees. There was wifi both here and in the communal area too. Plenty of parking too. Not sure how many rooms there were but it felt quiet and boutique at all times. I have read below some amazingly stupid comments about staying at this place that defy logic. One saying that she felt scared about the large spiders and another about the things falling from the trees. That's Costa Rica baby! There are hand sized spiders everywhere guys but they're not going to kill you. And if you want to be close to monkeys hopping through the trees you have to expect things to fall from above. Shame you can't filter comments made by idiots on TripAdvisor but anyway, none of these things are Namuwoki's fault. So in brief, friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast, nice quiet ambience, good pool, good location. What's not to like?

We really loved our stay in Namuwoki First we were warmly welcome, and the staff has always been very kind and helpful. All rooms are individual bungalows, like small colonial houses, nested in the jungle, with mosquito nets hanging over the beds - so charming Nice open air dining room by the pool where the food is really delicious. Better to have your own car to commute to the village nearby or even to go to the beach.
