Tom and Zoe, I wanted to Thank You again. We had a wonderful time and appreciate the outstanding hospitality that you both showed us. Our trip was amazing, your accommodations were amazing, the grounds were amazing. We honestly could not have asked for a more relaxing week. Please feel confident that we will tell as many people that we can...

We stayed at Geckoes in Jan 2013 as the conclusion to our 3 week honeymoon touring Costa Rica. My husband booked the place, and I will be honest; as we drove away from the palm lined beaches and into the forest my heart dropped... Would this be an anticlimax to an incredible 3 weeks...? Well, I am big enough and...

Barefoot Luxury they say! A secluded hideaway they say! It is all this and more!!! Firstly the owners Tom and Zoe are the most hospitable couple we have ever met. After spending a couple of hours chatting we had a great knowledge of the area, and felt we had met great new friends. The lodges themselves are beautiful, with the...

This was the second time we stayed at Geckoes, and it was just as amazing as the first time. This time we stayed in the smaller house - and it is fantastic. Tom and Zoe have thought about every detail to make the experience wonderful. At one point, we were in our hammocks in the living area being sloth-like, and...

Geckoes Lodge was the highlight of our trip. I just can't say enough good things about it. We stayed in the Casa Bromelia, and it was delightful. The place is set way back from the main road in the jungle, so you feel enveloped in the rain forest. It is still pretty close to town, beach, and a few restaurants...

We've been very fortunate to have traveled to many parts of this globe, meet a lot of people, and stay in several places....but we are particularly very fortunate to have stayed at Geckoe's Lodge because it's quite possibly the most amazing place we have ever experienced! This was our first visit to the wonderful country of Costa Rica, and several...

This is the 2nd time I've reviewed Geckoes Lodge, the first was after a 6 day stay in April 2011. That initial stay was so good, so enjoyable, so relaxing that we decided to break what for us is a golden rule - never stay in the same place twice. We love to travel and we like adventure so we...

We spent 7 nights at Geckoes in Casa Del Bosque and it was supremely relaxing. Location: about 15 minutes walk or 5 minutes drive from the main road, set amongst a perfect patch of sculpted rainforest, replete with howler monkey's, toucans, hummingbirds, native squirrels and other wildlife entertainment. From there it is a short walk to restaurants, a little further...

We just came back from Geckoes Lodge (my husband and I, and our two boys (10 and 11 years old), after a 4 day weekend. We have been to Puerto Viejo more than 5 times, in several hotels, and we must confess this has been the best experience. From now on, we will always choose Casa Bromelia as our "home"...

Being a busy family, we wanted a chance to rest and relax and disconnect from it all. Geckoes Lodge provided just that. Tom & Zoe are the most gracious of hosts and literally thought of everything. From restaurant choices, to hints on attractions, they helped make the week amazing. The house was clean and appointed with everything we needed. I...
